Vienna Calling
Kyle's Review of "Vienna Calling" - 3/5
Not bad, but not very unique. 3/5 stars.

Vienna Calling has a clear understanding of L4D2 level design basics that's easy to appreciate, but it doesn't usually elevate beyond these basics. The lighting is nice, I never got lost, and briefly visiting some old European catacombs is a cool moment. But the locations, set pieces, and gameplay are mostly just standard issue, and the maps are agonizingly long. There's not enough originality or personality to make this a complete package — for a campaign set in Austria, it never feels Austrian.

Even when this campaign does get creative, it's hit or miss. There's an exposed pit of radioactive waste sitting next to a normal city which feels out of place, and the finale is in a circular building that's too open to be dangerous. Add on some graphical errors and a finale where zombies can spawn in a room with no way out and you've got a campaign that misses its potential.

I highly doubt you'd hate this if you played it, but you've seen it all before.
