When a new nation is formed, eg: Tuscany, the border colour will not change.

That's normal game behaviour. You need to restart the game, then the borders will change, too.

When combined with the Translucent Transparent mod by Negi on the religious map mode there is a black gap in the coast of Tunis and also the more you zoom out the more the textures become crippled and artifacts seems to appear .

For some reason, I can't use this mod, as it says it is for 1.16. Yet in the description of the mod on the workshop, it says that it is updated. I tried deleting it to make it download again. Still had the same problem.

I found that, when combined with your Theatrum Orbis Terrarum mod, this makes the map insanely bright and overrides the A Rev. Font Mod - Theatrum Orbis Terrarum Gold add-on. http://imgur.com/a/9KYKi

They're not designed to be used together.

To fix this, go to your EU IV settings and turn off things such a Bloom and Post Effects.
