Blacksmith's Basement - All DLC edition
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

Blacksmith's Basement menu options - taking suggestions.
I will shortly (next 1-2 weeks hopefully) be releasing an options menu for this mod in the form of a book that will appear on the table next to the ladder.

The current options that will be included are:
- Ability to turn off automatic empty soul gem storage
- Ability to turn off automatic ingredient storage (separate options for each of the 4 ingredients Void Salts, Ectoplasm, Daedra Hearts, Netch Jelly)

Should anyone have further suggestions, or have thoughts about the suggestions above, please discuss here.

Weapons and armour storage, like a barrel for all long swords, one for staffs and open boxes for single handed swords. Not sure how you could store shields though?
I know that I would like to be able to pick a chest that just holds one factions armor, it would make looking for what you want so much easier .

Would be nice if extra options were added for how to have things be displayed. Like instead of maybe shelves for the ingots, you could buy chests instead they could lay in. Example would be like the thing infront of the ingot shelves where ore is laid.

Those chests would't be exclusive for ingots only, would be used for soul crystals, gems, ore, ingredients, dragon scales and bones.

They can be expanded to be used the same way for weapons and armor, instead of them being limited to mannequins, weapons racks and plates only. Along with jewelry of course, maybe even let us have a chest filled with coins in it it, could be allowed to be mixes of coins and gems along with jewelry to make it a chest like in pirate movies for example.

Of course display cases for such things would be nice to. I can have either a dagger lay in there or some necklaces, maybe a book and a piece of armor etc.

Might be a lot of work, just saying to me at least options like that would be nice to have.

I thought about potions and ingredients afterwards, I would so like to have a room where those coulfd be sorted into health giving, poisons, blacksmithing, enchanting etc
Might be complex when it comes to ingredients though?

One request is the possiblity of including compatibilty with the Windstad Mine mod's cart system by putting a cart in the basement. Mod details: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=310666674 this mod adds a renewable mine for ingots and a transport/storage cart that lets you store ingots and other materials in a cart that can be accessed in multiple places throughout the mine. Thus once a player has unlocked the windstead mine they can go mining load all of their ores onto the cart, then access the cart next time they are in the Blacksmiths Basement to smelt, store and use all the stuff they just mined...

It be nice if this mod had some immersion quests built into it to obtain each crafting bench, sharpening wheel and the like. Maybe some built in quests to clean up the area from a run down hole in the ground to a full on crafting zone. Or maybe make that forge a rare forge and have it produce new weapons and armors. I just dont care for having an entire crafting zone handed to me right off the get go. Also It also be cool if each portal area thats linked to the houses had a quest to activate said portal/ door. Just a few ideas to think about.

Thank you for this mod. I was just thinking that it would be nice to have astorage system for the smithing stuff. I am very happy with the thought that went into it. Great work!
Might be nice to extend the potion ingredients storage a bit...
thanks again!

I would really like an alchemy table in the basement and an option to store all ingrediants.

first of all thanks for your work, you have created a really nice and useful mod, and good the idea to add the function to create a custom trapdoor, to add the basemnt to mod house. But if you have more of three mod house? or decide to deinstall one mod house? yes, you can deactive that trapdoor, but in that way you have "wasted" that trapdoor. So, my idea is this, add a craftable item (maybe a pickaxe) that allow you to place a trapdoor, this item should be really heavy, in that way the mod won't became a "cheat" to have unlimited inventory.... and i think this method is more realistic of the actual spell method. maybe you can leave both methods and let player to choice which one to use. I hope you like my idea!
P.S. sorry, for my english, but isn't my native language

Very nice MOD - I fond myself just goofing off in there for hours.

Thumbs UP!

This. My only complaint about this excellent mod is loadscreen fatigue between the basement and my alchemy table. An alchemy table and another manniquin for alchemy gear would be an awesome addition..
