My contribution to Karkand
Its late here so sorry if brief.
What I added:
  • Fixed nav_mesh up, now only around 2.7 mb
  • Reduxed spawns entirely and only utilized half the map (bridge is finale)
  • Terrorists spawn on most roofs, some balconies, and have playerclips to keep them from committing suicide
  • Antennas and dish props made not solid so terrorist wouldnt get stuck
  • Fixed many foliage and trees/poles rising out of ground.
  • Added land bridge that crosses water with nav_mesh work
  • Added 6-7 vehicles to fill in for empty space, this is still not quite enough but I didnt have time to do the nav mesh for many more vehicles.
  • 12 Capture points, 1 cache, 13 spawns total
  • Lowered white walls so players can jump along side them.
  • Added in func_brush tower barriers for bridge, kills on trigger when player crawls up ladder (this happens on certain roof tops as well)
  • Fixed nav around buildings that were moved after nav_generate
  • Added block LOS to most vehicles, and near trains added block bullets as well
  • Added ladders to certain rooftops, certain ones are broken


Known Issues:
  • Couple ladders may be broken
  • Some clients experienced very light clientside crashes that occured mostly early round, nothing game breaking though and could have been because my server pushes 14 slots with 35 bots.

I'll see if i can get that added in to the addon, it might automatically be packed in when i upload.
Or at least i hope so.
On a side note, do you think it's possible to make the black background transparrent?

I've put the VMF file together with the BSP, NAV and TXT files into the Maps folder. It that correct?

Is it possible to turn off the shot-gun-bots? They hipp-shot-snipe-while-moving-with-one-shot you from accross the map ... too many Bots on the roofs - please no roof-bots while counter-attack, they suck big time ... for 1 or 2 players pretty unplayable ... IMO!

More cover around A would be great!

Sometimes dead Bots are swollowed off the ground...lol

Xorr [MLC] Has a point Daimyo.
Bots on rooftops are not good at counteratacks.
However we can't choose where bots spawn durring counterattacks, because they use the same spawns.
I personally really liked the bots on roof, it brings more verticality to the fight, and make the players more on the edge.
they can be really dangerous and wizzard-like accurate, but then again they are stationary.
Which means good teamwork and communication makes more sense then ever.
You don't really get the full experience by playing the map alone, I've been waiting for a while for a sever to come along.

My own server went to complete shait and because my internet connetion is so unstable is not such a good idea in the first place.

As for the bot acuracy: ins_bot_difficulty 0.2 or something,
0.01 - 1
1% - 100%

Spwan -> Press key 4 -> Client crash.

Options > Video Settings > Scope Dettail
* LOW ~ MEDIUM -> No problem.
* HIGH ~ VERY HIGH -> Client crash.
