Suggestions
Any suggestions you may have should go here.

We make no promises about including your ideas, and certainly make no promises about including your personal favorite religion.

In fact, do not make any suggestions for new religions. Until further notice, we are not even considering the inclusion of new religions. We must first get the existing religions to an acceptable level of completion.

So, with that said, suggest away!

Would you mind telling us what you plan to do for Egyption conversion?
Tumor  [developer] 11 Mar, 2015 @ 9:18pm
We've got two ideas at the moment.

1) When the religion of Egypt (likely Muslim) is weak and the people unhappy, a man begins teaching that they are being punished for abandoning the gods of their ancestors. An event chain will escalate the situation, with several different options to deal with it. You could peacefully convert, try to have him killed, or ignore him. The second and third options will trigger a revolt to install a new Pharoah.

2) A more direct method would be taking a decision to explore the ancient ruins, perhaps to survey them so you can extract the masonry to build a mosque. While exploring you may get lost ("Ooh, whats that?!") and come upon some artefact of Kemetism. You then have the option of converting. This would have a lot less chance involved and would allow the player to *choose* to convert.

Ways to convert to a religion you want to play without having to wait for a random event (and something more subtle than Lets. Get. PAGAN!) are being planned, but we don't know when it will happen.

Will you add any unique features to the Kemetic heresy ?
Tumor  [developer] 12 Mar, 2015 @ 8:44pm
I'd like to give them a few small features, yes. I'd like them to have an event chain, a formable religious head (via decision), and a holy order. Any heresies we produce, in my opinion, should have at least that basic level of functionality. With the exception, of course, of heresies where one or more of those features don't make sense. Such as the Titan Cult, which will not have a religious head.
Frankly, I don't see how you could add more relgions without making crap up. Also, I was thinking that you should make the celtic relgion, when reformed, even more like catholicism(i.e. when reformation happens, all holy sites owned by the reformer will be inhertied by the archdruid) I also think the archdruid's title should be a county. Why? Beacuse then a duke could win the papal race and, thus, have a lot of leverage over his liege.
wait, no titler counties. Damn. Well, then just make him king and allow celts to convert christians like christian can convert pagans(I pretty sure catholisim losing the island of britannia would result in a lose of a lot of moral athroity)
its just that my major complaint with most pagan relgions that can reform is that it becomes that you are the only indepndent ruler of the faith. It would be cool is a catholic like relgion(I.E Celts) could allow pagans to have the same joys and concerns like invasions and excommunications, while able to have pagan orgies with your wife-daughter

I love this mod but I also love HIPs map, its just so much bigger, any plans on a compatible version? also I'd love to make Celtic holy orders :D
Tumor  [developer] 21 Mar, 2015 @ 4:49pm
We have plans to create a com-patch for HIP in the future, and SWMH would be the easiest module to do it for.

Jump on the CK2 forums and give us your ideas! We also accept pull requests into our develop branch, pending a review, of course.

How about you add a ability to choose what deity will be your main deity like the Indian religons have for the Kemetic religion and if you choose Aten then you have the option to disregard all the other gods and use become Atenic.
Romulien 24 Mar, 2015 @ 1:09pm
@Zombies Bane
That's a great idea ! We've been discussing internally about patron deity upon Pharaoh's coronation and need to do more research on it. Atenism as an option would fit nicely into this !

This isn't specific to this mod, but the "Republic councillor fix" in your code needs to be applied to tribals too (same fix, but prefacing things with tribal_ instead of city_).

Again, this isn't a problem with your mod per se, but people playing this are likely to be playing tribal rulers, and having my celtic spiritual councilor named "Court Chaplain" inexplicably was quite a headscratcher before I figured out what in the name of [Root.Religion.GetRandomGodName] was going on there!

EDIT: Okay, looks like the same problem applies to all job titles as well as probably landed titles (for barons, dukes, etc.) as well. Mostly just a copy-paste job, but still, gotta be thorough.

@G-Flex: Thanks, I'll make a note of that issue and make sure it gets into the next release.

No problem! Just so you know, I've mentioned it on the CK2 forums and it's been added to the devs' bug-tracking database, so upcoming patches for the game might change that situation a bit.

I'm currently playing a Celtic realm in the Charlemagne start date, and it's pretty fun. I've encountered some bugs and oddities, but I'm going to wait to write up my impressions until I've played it a bit more.

This is a suggestion. The possibility to create or have some Indo-Greek hellenic religion that combines bits of Hellenistic and Indian religions with some unique features. And the ability to restore Bactria in the east.
