Armor Mod
This discussion is for my next mod. What armor/tanks/light armo corresponding to what Civ would you guys like to see in game, this can include game concepts like tile improvements, buildings, etc.. as well.

if you need any ideals there is a mod called tanks pack that was just updated has american and german ww 2 armor and a light and heavy tank and a tank destroyer

also it gives you a chance to se what t he competition is doing and to improve apon it as i know you will

I dont use armor alot in my games. If anything I use a Rocket artillery, Special Forces (which needs to be added as a late game 30+ paradrop unit. Not stronger than bazooka but not ask weak at archers.) And maybe a helicopter, but not so much cause those should be a ranged unit. The navy and the Air Force are my bread and butter. Air supremacy and control of the oceans is how you dominate

take a look at civ 5 small expansion theres a half track a military truck an atgm vehicle and a tank destroyer good a rt but a lot of glitches

yes murderologist its how you dominate but boots on the ground is how you control and you can not naval bombard or bomb every thing

O yes I can. My game is modded to the point where Missile Cruisers carry more than 10. My Missile Destoryers Carry More Than 10. My Submarines Carry More than 10. I use Tomahawk crusie missiles To soften the hell outta Anti Air And Siege Assets Bombers for Cities Fighters to mop up Naval and there Air assets. My missile cruisers have indirect first and promote to a range of 4. But the enemy has it as well. I have only been stonewalled one time on Diety by a China I let get out of control. Boots on the ground is necessary to capture those inland cities which I slaughter with B-52s And Stealth Bombers and Tomahawks. I use the Tomahawk missile mod but reduced the range from 22 to 15. Then You can just send in a paratrooper and all done. @ mp. I think if the enemy was better at fighting on the ground I would like it more. However I ackowldege they are much worse at naval engadgments. I dont feel the Ground units make since. Helicopters not being a ranged unit? Fortified infantry Lasting multipe turns to Abrams shelling? No ranged infantry? No true special forces? just hard for me to dive into the ground when I get an entire US Navy line up and Air Force.

Also I use that mod Area 51 and White Sands so my planes have a considerable amount of range to them without there 2 range promotions.

I know quite a few modern tanks series that I would love to see. M1A1s, M1A2s, and M1A3s(prototype) (America), the Leapard series (Germany and a few others), Chieftan and Challenger series (Britian), The Lectrics and Electrics (France), the T series (Russia), ZTZ (China), and STRVs (Sweden).

@Murder - Ya know, there is nothing saying I can't make a ranged infantry or helicopter unit.. actually quite a few mods out there that have infantry as ranged and melee (melee default).. you can switch them up with the click of a side button and do a ranged attack, but they will always default to melee when engaged. I could make a sniper unit or something like that. In addition to the Tomahawk Missles, I would like to add Patriot Missles as well.. I mean come on, I do work for Raytheon, it's only natural.
Also there are some decent AI mods out there to make the AI smarter, however a lot of them use a modded DLL, so be careful. You can only have 1 modded DLL running at a time, or your game will crash... hence why I don't want my mod to rely on one of them.

@ZAC - Man I wish I had a guy just doing models for me, or at least someone who would convert all of them from Civ IV mods.. that would be sweet, Civ IV has so many of the newer units.. it seems like Danrell, Snafusmith and some of the others don't do art anymore, just Wolfdog
