'Kadeshi Modules' -- Fits the idea of the motherships being as self-sufficient as they were made out to be. Research ships would've been an odd one for them in some respects, though not entirely impossible either. The hyperspace inhibitor will also be an excellent touch; glad to see that one happening.
'Kadeshi Minelayer Swarmer' - Yikes! Wouldn't have guessed this one would be coming. I'll keep a close eye on those :P
New models are always a plus and you've done well so far with the custom ones already in-game. Eager to see more.
The above list shows an excellent array of new ships and platforms on the horizon. I do feel admist it, there is also still some room for exploration. Are there any potential plans for any fourth entries in technology for the following?
-Turanic Corvette
-Turanic/Kadeshi Frigate (Eg. HerbyGuitar's Turanic Drone Frigate)
-Specialized Capship Classes (Eg. Shipyard, Missile Destroyers like Taiidan/Kushan, etc)
If there is, I might still have some suggestions outside the previously suggested Kadeshi Cruiser in a support role. Otherwise, all's looking great. :)
As for this additional race.......you've really got me curious now. Interested to see just what you have in store there.
Turanic Destroyer is in. Balance is not perfect yet, but when is balance ever perfect? Originally it had flak guns, which I removed. I changed my mind on this so they are goin back in. Huzzah.
Kadeshi Modules are in. Well they are going in as I type this. Only the initial stages. I made sure the Hyperspace Inhibitor was part of the initial modules though. Too iconic to the Kadeshi to not.
Turanics now have some limited color selection things going on. No other race has to be its default color, so why should the Turanics and Kadeshi? You are the fleet commander, paint them bad boys the way you want. Wanna fly out as a bunch of space pirates with pink and purple? Why not? This will take some time to migrate to the other ships, so I am doing it by class - Fighter (done), Corvettes (in progress), Frigates on up (not even started).
Herby Guitar is working on providing me with some additional models which will GREATLY cut down on the work. Fer example one we were discussing - Turanic Blockade Frigate (no name decided on but it sounds cool right?). It uses reverse engineered Kushan Drone tech to provide itself a limited screen of defense as it sets up mines. Fits with the Turanics making many of their ships multiroled as well as gives them mines. What space pirate does not have mines? Herby's Drone Frig model for them will make that a snap once that is finished.
Blockade Frigate? It has a nice ring to it. The concept is also pretty damn cool too; limited defense and mines? I always had the idea that the Taiidan would've granted the Turanics some means of tech as part of being a protectorate state while also reverse-engineering technology from their enemies. They were after all no simple pirates; they were smart, as their mimicing and cloaking tech was good evidence of.
Since I mention it, I wonder; Is the mimic technology the Turanic Raiders developed for their Standard Corvettes in Cataclysm possible in the Remastered engine? One of the things I had in the back in my mind was a Standard variant in limited numbers that employed the mimic tech but not salvaging. Probably better ideas, regardless if possible or not, but felt it worth a mention.
Looking forward to painting the MGC and Attackers! :D
And if you can Describe each of them. That would be nice. :) I only know the races by looks. Not by names.
Edit:
A Picture for each race would make it easy to remember which is which. :)
Turanic Raiders. Seen in the first few missions of Homeworld 1, they have very 'junky'/boxy looking ships. Very low tech, but they have a surprising amount of stealth in their tree.

Kadeshi - Also seen in Homeworld 1, in the Gardens of Kadesh. They are best known for their giant Needle-shaped Mothership and using massive amounts of Fighters as their primary means of battle.

Beast - Seen in Homeworld Catacylsm, this 'race' is a biomechanical virus that is capable of infecting most ships with itself, transforming the ship into a hideous living ship of sorts. The Beast have very few original designs, preferring to subert and transform other race's ships.

On the drawing boards/being considered
Somtaaw - A subrace of Higaarans/Kushan, they are featured in Homeworld Cataclysm. They have an odd mix of ships, resulting from their trade deals with everyone including the Bentusi.

Taiidan Republic - After the events of HW1, the Taiidan split up with two major sides being shown during the story: one the Imperialist survivors looking identical to the old Taiidan Empire with yellow and red, and the Republic who prefer to use a mixture of white and teal on their ships. While both sides have virtually the same ships, there are some technologies each side eventually pioneers as time passes.

Please note that races added are not at all complete. The Turanics are the closest to being done, with most of their primary ships now having unique models. The Beast are the least developed, in their own way, as they are due for a massive visual overhaul. The Kadeshi have a lot of model work yet to be finished.
