Detector / inventory mismatch
(Moving discussion here from comments)

Thanks for responding to my question so quickly,

To recap, the server I'm currently on just updated to v05 and we're seeing some weird issues. The relationship between ore names in the detector and on the asteroid, and what shows up in cargo, seems wrong.

We see all the new colored ore icons, just not the ones we expect.

For instance, mining Cohenite gives Stone, Pyrite gives Icy Iron, Silver gives Uranium, etc. No idea what's going on here. Any ideas?

Our server admin linked the mod package in use, here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=417833782

I haven't found out in any sort of expedient way how to launch my own dedicated server with mods to see if there's a problem when playing multiplayer that way, and I can't connect to myself to host it locally...Um...I can't debug this anymore tonight.

(1) Can you confirm for 100% sure that you updated the server with the new version of the mod?
(2) Does it happen in old maps in single player?
(3) Does the processing output of newly mined ore match what it should be?
(4) What does the plain ol' stone popup say when you mouseover? All of them?
(5) If they're all "stone" now, can what were formerly different ores now stack together?
(6) Do newly generated/virgin/really far away asteroids exhibit the same problems?

(7) Please double check the reported "plain ol stone" output.

The recipe output for any stone in any version didn't match what was reported, but it is similar to the old version of the plain stone which is why I think the server version is out of date, it would also explain the mismatch between harvest/ore production. But then, other things might do that too, which is why I hope you can find a remote, new asteroid. But...please don't burden yourselves too much.

I really need to sleep. Waking up for work in 3 hours... :-(
Sorry about the problems, I will do my best to make my own dedicated server for testing in the future.

If there's anyone who wants to do some thinking, the new version renames most of the voxel (asteroid) materials (e.g. from Stone_07 to Carnotite_01) and the related output (e.g. Stone7 to Carnotite) but after being renamed (to it, that means removed) the saved asteroid data typically either auto-reassigns new ones or defaults it all into Stone_01. If you're getting totally mismatched results (Stone_01 won't even show up on the radar), then I honestly have no idea how that could be. With the exception of an identical, redundant item definition, I just looked over all the files and retested the mod twice since this was reported and can not for the life of me find any other reason for this bug to be appearing.

The old stony ID'd (stone2, stone3, ...) ores should have their icons appear as a big "Refine" image (to be backward compatible, as they will be eliminated in future updates) but drilling new versions of the same should result in updated ores that have the proper icons assigned. As of this update, all the ores should be rare/multi-output/named-after-self ores in the data (hence they can be seen on the radar).

Please help me cross check this information and consider any possible problems. Sorry to trouble everyone. Closing Steam.

Thank you very much for your patience.

I've a question for the people reporting bugs; are these ores being minded for asteroids that have already been touched, IE, are fixed and made into a voxel file, or are they brand new procedual asteroids that haven't been touched yet, IE, are still just a visual representation of some algorithm?

As you can see from the comment thread, our server admin reports that a restart fixed the issue. Thanks for the time you spent investigating. I'm just happy I get to mine all the new ores AND take them home with me!

In case you ever see the issue again, here's a summary set of answers to your questions:
(1) The mod was up to date. We saw the new colored icons and Refine! warning icons too.
(2) Unknown
(3) Yes. The refinery output seemed reasonable for each ore type. The visible & detected ore types on the asteroid before collection were at odds with what appeared in cargo, but all was okay from that point on in the process.
(4) Didn't notice, can't check now.
(5) All "Stone" in inventory stacked, regardless of what ore we expected it to be when mining.
(6) Really hard to tell if any of the asteroids were fresh due to low ambient light and a spawn ship mod that encourages early hand-mining. In all probability we were mining a mixture of deserialized and fresh rocks, although all I tested had been mined in an previous session with v03 of the mod installed.
(7) Can't double check now, but I recall players saying multiple times that refining stone was giving gravel and iron.

I hope this helps should the problem arise again. Great work on the mod! Hope you get to catch up on sleep soon.
