Configurable Transport Capacity

Simple Configuration Guide
So I've seen a lot of people asking how to configure this Mod. It's fairly simple, just requires a few steps:

  1. Subscribe to the Mod (Steam will auto-download it)
  2. Open Cities: Skylines, open the Content Manager, and enable the mod (Configurable Transport Capacity)
  3. Load a map, then Quit to Desktop
  4. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines
  5. Open TransportCapacityModSettings.xml in Notepad or another text editor
  6. Edit the settings how you would like. For reference, these are mine (Taken from the "Real Life numbers and references" topic:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ModSettings xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <ModifyTransportCapacities>true</ModifyTransportCapacities> <PassengerTrainCapacity>338</PassengerTrainCapacity> <MetroCapacity>313</MetroCapacity> <BusCapacity>105</BusCapacity> <PassengerPlaneCapacity>407</PassengerPlaneCapacity> <PassengerShipCapacity>2056</PassengerShipCapacity> </ModSettings>
  7. Backup your save before loading, just incase something goes wrong. In the latest patch he fixed a problem where lines weren't updating, so the new numbers should work right away.
  8. Enjoy!

    Remember that the number is the number of passengers per car (Relevant for the Metro & Train).

    If you do not enable the mod in Content Manager and load a map, the config file is *not created*. Make sure you follow each step!

Thanks for this guide!

Once I add in a UI (I'm lazy, and I'm a programmer, so UIs aren't my forte, so don't expect it any time soon) I'll make it easier to deal with the transport capacity stuff.

Don't worry, I'm the exact same :) I keep telling myself eventually I'll get around to creating a mod... Until then, may as well help some people out with them :)

I thank you for your guide. But I have the problem that the config file is not being created although i started and shut down the game a couple of times. What could be the matter?

I had the same problem, and there's a couple missing steps. In brief...

1. Subscribe to the mod
2. Enable the mod in the Content Manager
3. Load a game map, then exit to desktop
4. --> Edit TransportCapacityModSettings.xml in \Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines

Hey Johnny, I forgot you needed to enable and load a map before the config file was created. I have added that to the post, thanks!

It only works for me with Bus. Al the other puplic Transport have an increased Value. For example. I choose 350 for Metro, but the final Number ist over 1550!
I Dont no what the Problem is. Perhaps anybody can help me, because has the same Problem.

Zero6Master, at the bottom of the post:
