Modular Solar Panel (1x1) v2

Wind vs Solar Effeciency & Cost?
Considering the engineering wizardry at work with a Wind Power, the things are vastly more expensive to maintain than a solar farm in real life. Cleaning and maintaining solar panels is far more easier than climbing and replacing windmill generators or repairing damaged mill blades, especially when they're the size of a truck!

My point is, I like that you priced the 1x1 solar panels to be comparable to the initial windpower, but i believe they're too similar, instead of fitting into a more niche roll. Considering the materials that go into a solar panel, perhaps their cost should be double or triple to build, but far less to maintain, encouraging new cities to stick with wind or coal when they're just getting started. Perhaps something like 900 or 1200 to build, but merely 4 per week?

You have good points but considering this is only putting out 1MW it is actually the most expensive per watt powerplant in the game. Also, the upkeep per watt is more expensive than the vanilla solar plant. Yes with this asset you get no pollution but it also takes up more space per watt. If this was only 4/week than it would be very over powered, perhaps more realistic but not calibrated to the way the game's economy works.

Perhaps we should play a few games and give it a try? I think the maintenance and price should be comparable to a decently sized hydroelectric dam though, perhaps using the windmill as a base has made it almost too expensive. For all the reasons you listed, it seems it's best benifit is it looks pretty.

Beauty and aesthetics are some of the most important qualities in an asset. If you find that you would rather have a different cost, there is always the option of editing the asset to suit your needs :) It is hard to have default values that everyone agrees on.

I just wanted to check with you to see if you're interested in testing some more options before i go and uh.. cheat xD

It saves a lot of money in the long run of not having to run power lines to remote water pumps, so technically it is more useful than it looks.
