CTD while trying to use Voxel hand

Hi,
I am playing on a rented dedicated server, as admin, with admin tools enabled.
In space...attempt to use voxel hand and my client crashes to desktop.
I have a crash log as well,

Ah that one... I reported that 6 months ago mentioning that it crashes :/

I've updated the mod with some workarounds.
