Want money? Make a game, not a mod, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
Mods are made, because of fun. You make it for yourself first, to see, how funny it would be if ... sth... You think this fun should be charged? Well, make your own game, full of this fun and sell it for 10$, if you don't want to share something funny with others for free. Also, do not forget about paying your friends or people on the internet for things they (comics etc.) draw and post for free.

As a modder, and aspiring artist in a world REPLETE with starving creatives, who literally built the modding community and content of the games you enjoy, I have this to say: Payed mods will only bring better content and more of it PERIOD. It will also inspire modders like me to actually release and improve the content I have created for my own skyrim, instead of yknow working at olive garden despite my academic background in fine art, game art, and graphic design.

A mod is made to extend the life of a game as a spare source of entertainment by fans, for fans, and even serves for the talented bunch to put their foot in the door, and makes a great portfolio for obtaining a job at a game company. It is NOT made to be a simple cash-grab for lazy designers to shovel onto people's unsuspecting heads for little to no effort. If you want to get paid for your work, make your own game. Or hell, just make a hat for TF2 or Dota or a skin for CSGO and make thousands that way. As for me, I know a few people willing to make a small animation team at college.

Remember, an acedemic backround in anything is useless without legitimately putting it to work and showing it off yourself.

inb4 we all get entitled by people who have a greedy obsession with capitalism.
And if it is $10 And it adds no things to the game but a thing that said "thank u the $10"
