To install a mod from the Steam workshop just click on the 'Subscribe' button. The mod will automatically download and install. When the mod is installed you may have to activate it under Data files. Done.

Use the quicktravel to Riverwood. Go through the village and take the road up in the mountains that leads to Helgen. You can't miss it. When it is not there, see the question below.

If the game does not load the mod it is most probably a general problem you have, especially if you have the same problem with other mods too. Here is a short list what you could try to resolve this issue:

1. Be patient. The mod is quit big. So it may take some minutes to download.
   
2. Check if Castle Gonduin is selected under 'Data files'.
   
3. Make sure you can install other mods.
   
4. Try a different load order.
   
5. Try to desubscribe and subscribe to this mod again.
   
6. Try restarting your PC.
   
7. Ask google. Maybe others had this problem too and found a solution.

Alternatively you can download the mod from Nexus[www.nexusmods.com] and install it manually (instructions in readme).

This is known as the Floating Grass Bug and it is quite easy to fix. You will have to edit a few lines in the Skyrim.ini and the SkyrimPrefs.ini. Here is a link to an instruction. Neither the containers nor the cell itself will reset. Other interiors like the tavern or the forge may reset though.

This mod does not require the Hearthfire DLC, so it can't support it. There are 4 children beds in the guest wing of the player home. That has to be enough.

You can collect the money from the safe in the office. The safe is embedded in the wall behind the desk.

Sometimes actors don't update as intended. In that case you have to force them to reload. You can archive this by creating a new quicksave (f5) and reloading (f9) this save.

You can purchase decorations from Steward Balin in the throne hall after completing the quest. You can also choose a banner and a statue for the entrance hall.
