Scenario Guidelines and Game Walkthrough
BEWARE ! SPOILERS !

This topic is only here to help advised players and keep them enjoying the game while doing the best things to finish the map. This is in no way a must read and if you want to have the surprise, i suggest you play the game and discover all this by yourselves. This is just a walkthrough to make you understand the quests but you can do MANY OTHER things. Use it only if you want to CHEAT and give good advice to your teamates.

THE MAIN QUEST

Chapter I - The First Encounter

Once you start, go talk to the Monk near the spawn, he will give you the first quest. Which is to defeat the barbarians that helds in the East part of the little island. Before going to this part, you will have to take up north to get to teh Valkyrie Statue that will grant you a little HP bonus before the fight. Once done, explore the lands looking for some things to do and get to, at least, level 5 or 10 before reaching the bandit camp.

Careful, if you get to the bandit camp by the West, there is a deadly ballista guarding the entrance and it can kills the weaken heroes in a few shots. Plus, you will want to charge it with a strong hero, but don't, it is heavily protected by a bunch of ulfsark and the addition of all of them will get rid of any good hero trying to enter the camp.

When the boss is killed, you have acces to a heavy Box that shall returns in the hands of the Monk. Go all the way back to the village called Intertown and give him the relic. In exchange, he will charge you to warn the King of something unusual and gives all teh players 500 gold. The boat is 1,5K gold, so you will have to do some random quests around the island before finally leaving it.

Advice : If you are still weak before leaving the island, walk randomly around and beat up some snakes or bandits. Beware ! The more they respawn, the stronger they get. So pay attention to their stats and ask, at least, for 1 teamate to help you during your leveling.

Chapter II - Prince Xzfar the Rebel (optional)

When you have a ship, do not land right near where you get it but a bit up north. There is a destroyed town called Sheltercity, where a horseman asks you to wark the Capitolcity to bring renforcement. Do not engage fight before you called that help, or you will easily die. Follow the road to the West and join the Capitolcity. Then, meet the other horseman near the palace, he will call for an army and a camera cut will show you that. Then, follow the army to the rebells outspot and join the fight.

Prince Xzfar is deadly and strong, try to avoid him at all cost and let the imperial army handle the fight. You should focus on killing his minions and all the soldiers. Carefull with the archers, try to fall back when you feel like dying.

The Prince is dead and you get a somptuous reward. Go back to the Capitolcity then, go to the armorer which will improve your armors stats (200 gold every purchase), then you can finally go meet the King. He is outside the city, having a walk in the garden.

Chapter III - Ceptlos your King

In the Gardens, the King asks you to meet an old friend of his and gives you the key to enter his dwell. You will have to follow a dangerous path trhoughout the mountains but you must increase your stats first. Go all around the city in teh forests and anihilate the enemies before moving straight to the west. You are not strong enough and needs at least to be between level 10 or 15. Plus, do some quests around and get some more armors everytime you can. Avoid the marsh part then you shall be good to continue.

After defeating the Chimera protecting the entrance, you will enter the Ooga Booga cave. This guy is a crazy old man who is guarding the entrance to the Underworld. He tells you to be carefull with his pots but that is just some silly warning. To get to underworld, be sur eyou are strong enough and control the entrance with the level. The lever activate the sky passage, you will have to get one by one inside of it.

(!) Information : There is Scragins Stronghol that is a sidequest which will give you 200 gold in case you still need a few more armor right in the south part, behind the mountains. This sidequest will also allows you to kill dozens of enemies attacking Scragins camp, so you can get some EXP to level up.

In the mountain part to the cave, right on the North, there is a secret part. Do not, I repeat, do not go there till you're not level 15+, the enemies are really strong there.

Chapter IV - Herrbulus your Father

The Underworld is the lair of Herrbulus, an ancient demon stuck here to keep the dead souls and dark forces inside his lands. He represents the chaos and the order, and will attempt to kill you in order to protect the sleeper. But, also, as the chaos master, he is your Father and will attack you only if you decide to listen to him.

Thus, before attacking him, you shall reconsider getting some more levels and going around to kill the dead souls and strange monsters. Bear in mind that if you have difficulties killing them and get easily hit by these enemies, you are not ready yet to fight your Father. Once you have enough strength, you can go listen to Herrbulus whispering and fight him.

Why is he your father you may ask ? Read more to know :)

Herrbulus is really fast and deadly. Do not engage combat if you are not a Tank. Plus, when the meteor rain will come, everyone will be scattered, even Herrbulus. He can easily be throw near you and therefore attacks you right right after that. Once killed, the Sleeper knows you are a threat to his dream and all the units in the game get their stats increased.

Once Herrbulu dead, you hear the Sleeper talking to himself, and the way out of Underworld is opened. Notice that this is also a wolf's head, which represent the face of your dead Father, that lays on the exit. You will have to go there and warn the King Ceptlos that something bad comes from the Box you found on the begining.

Chapter V - Calling for Black Rock

In order to find the Sleeper and stop him from destroying this world with nightmares, you have to go back to warn the King. Once you get to the Capitolcity, the city will be under siege and you will have to defend it. The enemies are anubites, which are the spawns of Herrbulus. In a certain way, these are your dark Brothers you have to defeat.

Sadly, no matter what, the king dies and, in a last words, tells you to look for the Black Rock. On top of it, there is a wizard keeping a secret path to Cidronyl lands. If you met the wizard before, she told you that you weren't strong enough to keep going. But, once the king is dead and the threat gone, she allows you to walks by the stairway.

There are 2 ways to get to the Black Rock in order to cross the northern river. The first one is far West, by the mountains secret pass. You will have to fight dryads and heka giants but if you are strong enough, you can easilly kill them. Be sure to be around level 20 before entering this area, then follow your instinct and walk to the Black Rock.

The second way is by the swamp, on the northern little pass made by a river. At the top north of it, you will enter the Medusa's lair, which is a boss that can hardly be defeated. She spawns snakes and sentinel statues appear randomly around her when she's hurts. Once you kill it, you have to kill some hydras and go West. This is surely the hardest way but will give you some EXP before rushing the boss and final part.

Chapter VI - Final

When you meet Cidronyl, he tells you this is all about dreaming and having nightmares. In fact, as the Children of Memories, you are both of them and your goal is to awake the Sleeper. Actually, the mythology is kinda hard to understand and you just have to consider that the reality can be changed by one heavily powered Sleeper. This Sleeper spreads his Boxes in random places and gives great powers to the one who owns them, because their owner finally understand the truth.

As Children of Memories, you are not born from the Sleeper's creation but from his Memories, this means you are not controlled by his dream but are some memories interfering with the dream. Each one of you represent a different part of the Sleeper's past, and you were created by Herrbulus to awake the Sleeper. You just don't know it yet and have to get stronger and stronger until you finally can awake him.

Actually, the Dream is more of a metaphor than a real dream. The Sleeper created all this world for himself but lost control when you arrived and changed the balance. To end this, you have to kill the Sleeper and this all will be over.

(!) Beware ! In the final icy part, there is an avalanch at the top of the mountain leading to Cidronyl. When it reaches you, it instantly kills you no matter how strong your armor is. Send there the fastest unit you can or walk carrefully and run once you activate the trigger. This is the scariest part because you can play all the way here to just die.

Once you kill the boss, you win the game :)

THE SECONDARY QUEST

Chapter I - The Neverisin Box

The Neverisin Box can be found up North in the swamp part called Vielyr Mar. It is hidden near a destroyed city, under a Temple. Once you destroy that temple, a message tells you to bring this box to a Monk. Fortunately, there is one in Ghelmora, a little village in the desert along the river. Once you bring that Box to the Monk, he tells you that you are fool and asks you to bring it to the Black Mage. You have to walk all the way to Talmora and find the son of osiris. This city also has a good armor upgrader (Smith upgrades both armor and speed for 230 gold only).

(!) Information : If you meet the B'aissu, Dhol and Ades merchants, they will ask you to bring back their 3 donkeys. If you escort them, the greek villagers will convert to atlantean villy (with donkey beside them) and give you some more gold. This is a quest made after the AoMH player BSU_Dolhades, founder of Mythic Studios. Yeah, easter egg :D

Chapter II - Attack on the Capitolcity

After giving the Box to the Black Mage, it is too late and the Capitolcity is under attack by nightmare monsters. They destroy the Armorer and kill everyone on the city. If you manage to reach them, you can kill the beasts and get a few more EXP. The quest ends here due to a lack of triggering but it was supposed to continue a few more time with the reborn of Herrbulus that you fight again in the Capitolcity. Unfortunately, it never was triggered and the game was released.

ADDITIONAL QUESTS

Vielyr Mar - The Cannibals and the Statue

Ghaloss tribes are known for their cannibalism and sacrificial rituals. They all act in the name of their God, but Kaosaa, the real leader, is the true chief of this tribe. They live with the Elvers, the magical creatures of the swamp that receive powers from the heavy magix roots of the swamp.

As true worshipers of their gods, the Ghaloss tribe will protect their statue at any cost. If you destroy it, they will all turn enemy and attack you, under the command of Kaosaa. They are pretty deadly since they got hydras and the priest is a Boss, but if you manage to kill them all, you can then free the slaves captured for the feast and they will automatically run back to the Capitolcity.

A good thing to know though is that if you keep the statue and gives 2K gold to Kaosaa, he will grant you one Elver snake which will constantly heals you. You will then be immortal during the whole game as long as the snake remains alive. A sneaky companion can still destroy the statue, then you will lose your snake.

(!) Information : If you meet the War Elephant on the northern part of this tribe camp, he will ask you to escort him to Ghalmora. The quest gives you some more attack but, on the way, if you didn't destroy the statue, the War Elephant may be offended by the statue and attack it (there is a minor probability). If so, the tribe will attack him but also will turn against you because you were on his escort.

Ghalmora - A Trip to Talmora

Ghalmora is a little village in the Egyptian part of the map. You can't reach it first with your boat because a kraken keeps the entrance of the river. When you first talk to the Monk, he asks you to escort a shiny box dragged by 2 camels. You will have to follow the road to the East then turn South once you got to the Majic Dodo camp. When you reach the city of Talmora, you give the box to the Black Mage that will use it to kill the Kraken.

You will then be allow to move freely in the river.

Thieves Guild - That Weird Strange Guy in Telmora

A weird guy in Talmora asks you to steal the shepherd's goats. If you bring to him all the little goats, he will then activate the Thieves Guild and ask you to meet Cwlyan in Intertown (the first village of the map you came from).

She is near the healing spring and will ask you a proof to let you work inside the Guild. She will then evoke the Baron's tree and will wish it is gone. t is a test, you have to steal it. This part of the quest shall be easy, but bear in mind that if you steal the tree, the Baron will attack you with his bodyguards. When you are done killing everyone, you can go back to Cwlyan and get the reward (300 gold coins).

She will then tells you to steal Sheltercity's treasure which is heavily guarded. If you steal the relic and the patrol sees you, you will be attacked by reinforcement. Once you are done, bring it back to your leader and you will receive 400 gold coins.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of time and triggering inspiration, there is nothing next but the missions were supposed to go on and on until you finally join the Thieves Guild and turns your character into a Hero Thief (keeping all the upgrades and level you took). I couldn't trigger that sadly but this is an idea of what it could have been :)

(!) Information : Note that you can also help the first shepherd with his goats. When you meet him, he will ask you to bring some red blossom to heal the animals from a mysterious sickness. The red blossom are located in a little oasis following the road out of the city, on the North way. You can also do this quest instead of joining the dark side !

Goblins Dilemma - Which one to pick ?

The Goblins part is probably the most interesting quest if you know where to start it.

The Goblin Camp is located in the northern part of the desert, and are surrounded by rocks. You know you are near it when you see a sign pointing to "NOT DEAL WITH GOBLINS". If you encounter the goblins king first, he will ask you to get rid of a gladiator in the destroyed city, because they actually did destroy the town but one survivor is remaining. You will then have to kill it and go back to the goblins fortress. This quest will give you 850 gold. Be sure to steal the Goblins treasure at least, behind their caves, right beside the high mountain rocks.

On the contrary, if you meet the Supervisor first in the destroyed city, he will ask you to make peace with goblins and will give you a paper to bring to the goblins king. Unfortunately, the Goblin doesn't want to make peace and will attack you. Then, loads of goblins will spawn from the caverns until their leader is dead, which can be really dangerous if you don't kill him quickly. Once you finish the slaughter, go back to the Supervisor and you will get a bodyguard that will follow you everywhere he can.
