What would you like to see remade?
So in this discussion post, comment what legion you would like to be retextured. This is a first come first served policy so don't delay!

Currently I'd rather get all of the original first 15 Marian legions done first, though any request is better than non.

This means I Germanica, IIII Macedonica, VI Ferrata, VIII Augusta, XI Claudia, XII Fulminata, XIII Gemina and XV Apollinaris are prefered. Feel free to request later legions though!

It'd be really neat if each of the legions' units had their own distinct abilities and regional resistances! What do you think, D. Centurion?

That's not a bad idea, though im not great at DBs

I'd like to see a Legio VI Vix that's able to be recruited in Britannia but with the additional Pious and Faithful and Britannic campaign awards added to the unit LEG VI VIC P-F B :P

But as a roman re-enactor of the VI legion i suppose im just bias to the Britannic operated legionaries

II, VI and IX are my favourites due to their stationing in Britannia - VI and IX being stationed only an hour from my home.

So you mean renaming it to Legio VI Victrix Pia Fidelis? That's possible if it wasn't named V.P.F already

However, moving recruitment regions would require everyone to restart their campaign. It's something I might look into after Caesar's Legions is part of a campaign beta in Ancient Empires over on Attila. Diversifying recruitment locations to create what-if scenario's is something they might be doing, and Victrix in Britannia is very likely. Though that won't be out for several months.

That's fine by me. I myself to reenact the VI in britian and to see the Hispanic legion with a more brittanic infuence that its known for. (Minus the alexandian campaign of course).

Perhaps for a suggestion to help is the addition of cloaks and such on there back. As the legion especially in britian did use them.

One thing i will note though im happy they have yellow tunics! were you inspired by a group? or historical evidence for that? ^^

In the mod, Victrix is recruited from nothern modern day turkey (not sure why, the mod has been passed down through generations of modders), so the unit is more geared for fighting in those locations. Personally I'd have the legion recruitable from both Spain and Britannia, and have winter clothing worn in the Imperial incarnation similar to Hispana. When I play around in the DB and AOR areas of the mod in the future, it is something I will be doing.

On the yellow tunic colour, I never actually noticed that until you pointed it out - do you like it?
Donkleberry 19 Sep, 2015 @ 8:58am
I think it suits them, i recall a writer (unsure who) who says that when caeser and the VI marched into alexandria they had light yellow tunics. (Need to refind that source to) So its good better then the common red!

But yeah So far i like the idea! Looking forward haha

That was Legio VI Ferrata in Alexandria - VI Victrix was levied by Octavian

Of course but it was a twinned legion. And it could be assumed it held some of the cesarian ties. and perhaps some of the older veterns

Indeed, it is thought it has roots in Ferrata. Also, having spoken to a member of the AE team that helps with porting Caesar's Legions into the Attila mod, it sounds like they may include Victrix as recruitable from Spain and Britannia
