Invisible top-speed projectiles that on impact leave a tiny burn mark, on impact there is a glare like you get from spotlights. Possibly a similar glare from the weapon itself?
Uses a 'Focusing Crystal' made from Silicon, that is good for 1000 or more shots.
Increases energy usage when firing, low-damage - high-firerate.
Larger version deals 2x more damage, and uses 3x the energy.
