Wiremod conflict/potential easter egg?

This just seems too weird to be a bug, but it's annoyed me for the longest time and I've finally found this addon to be responsible: damaging an e2 chip with any weapon causes it to reflect damage on the user, unfortunately this addon is not worth that weird and annoying downside as I use e2 quite a lot

How to reproduce: enable wiremod and this addon, place an e2 chip down and shoot or hit it, notice that you take damage proportional to the normal damage of the weapon used including explosives
