RivalAI vs MES?
Hello, should I install RivalAI as well as Modular Encounters Spawner, or should I choose only one between those? What difference does it make if I install RivalAI or replace MES with it?

I know I need both of them for this addon, I just wanted to know how RAI is different in relation to MES. There was no RAI requirement before so I'm curious what new behaviour can I expect now.

To put it simply, MES allows the ships to spawn. RivalAI allows them to have behavior. This mod, as well as MES and RivalAI are all made by the same author.

Moot point now, as Rival AI is built into the base of the MES mod now. :D
