Space Engineers

Argent Cargo Ship (Vanilla)

Question:
I built and flew a ship from a moon to a planet, crashed it, built a station, built another ship. But this ship won't take off. I followed all the directions from the tutorial. What am I doing wrong?

I think you might be a little lost here my friend. This is the discussion for this workshop item. For general questions on gameplay you should probably post under the discussions for the game Space Engineers.

I'll attempt to help you as best I can. You need 4 basic components to build a flyable ship.

1) Power source (reactor, solar panel or Battery)
2) Thrusters in all 6 directions (ions for space, atmospheric for planets)
3) Gyroscope (allows you to control direction with the mouse)
4) A Cockpit

The rest of it is simply adjusting these things to make it work. In other words if you can't take off from the planet, add more downward thrusters until it lifts off.

Hope this helps you.

The ship, The Argent, is pretty amazing. I went through the pictures. Will there be specs for construction? How does that work?

I am continuing to update it so once I feel like it's a finished project I can probably load it into SE toolbox and see all the components required to build it. It is currently just under 12,500 blocks. Most of that is light armor blocks so that would mean mostly iron and steel plates as the bulk of the required components. However, there are a lot of cargo containers in there.

It would definitly take you a while I'd think to mine all the materials needed in survival. But once you had it made it's a mobile base of operations.

Copy! Awesome. I would love to try my hand at building it sometime.
