Frequently Asked Questions
Lots of mods have these, so...sure, why not? Some of these, people have asked. Some they haven't. Which ones are which, I'll leave up to you to figure out!

Q - Manual download?

A - https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/mod-divine-intervention-playable-papacy.977928

Manual download is contained in that thread on the official forums, in accordance with Paradox's policies on user modifications. I don't support piracy, so if Mediafire doesn't work for you and you'd like an alternate link, contact me directly with the Steam account that you have Crusader Kings II purchased on, and I'll post up a temporary link. Pirates can get ahold of the mod pretty easily anyway, but I'll at least do my part to not just hand it to them.

Q - Do you have any particular religious beliefs, and do they affect the content of Divine Intervention?

A - I don't subscribe to any particular beliefs, no. I don't have any particular love or hate for any religion on this planet. I made The Papacy playable because it seemed like a fun idea. Any good or bad content that I or other modders that I collaborate with add to the mod is absolutely guaranteed to not be there as a "dig" at any particular faith, be it Catholicism, Islam, Tengri, or anything else.

TL;DR, I'm not here to offend anyone. Anything offensive was either in the game already, or isn't actually offensive at all and you're just looking into it too deeply.

Q - Why the hell can The Pope end up being a homosexual Eunuch from Nubia with a hook for a hand?!

A - That can happen even in the unmodded game, so don't pin that on me. Besides, the medieval era was a strange time.

Q - This mod made my game stop launching!

A - That's not possible. Sometimes the Workshop bugs out.

If your game is stuck not launching, with Steam pulling up an infinite "Preparing to launch Crusader Kings II..." window, do the following:

1 - Open Task Manager. CTRL-ALT-DELETE or right-clicking your taskbar and selecting "Start Task Manager"

2 - If Crusader Kings II is running, end the task through Task Manager.

3 - If Steam is running, end the task through Task Manager. (If you're downloading any games or patches, pause them before you do this just to be sure that you don't lose any of that download progress, especially if your internet plan has a data cap!)

4 - Relaunch Steam and CKII. If that doesn't fix the problem, feel free to contact me and I'll try to help as best I can. I've run into this issue a few times myself, and I can understand how frustrating it is.
