By the looks of things the Sarranid Immortals look very useful in terms of all-around use, being skilled in combat as well as archery. Especially siege.

depending on terrain I would say either swadian paladins or saranid immortals or mountain knight. as far as all round usage sarranid immortals probably.

Train those suckers into Black Knights.
I would hate to see one of those charging towards me or climbing up a ladder.
