Feature Request Thread
Be creative - you just founded your own noble house, a cadet branch of an older dynasty. What should or could happen? :)

Heya! Neat mod, really good idea, I was thinking of making something like this myself.

Would it be possible to do something along the lines of adding AI triggers to do this themselves? IE if they aren't members of the main ruling branch but own lands and have a certain amount of prestige and maybe factors such as the Proud trait or Ambitious trait then the AI could do this themselves? Would add to the dynamicity of the overall game to see, for example, distant offshoots of the Karlings forming their own Cadet branches (I believe AGOT has an advanced version of this concept, maybe look into it!)

Either way, fantastic mod, keep it up! :)

Hey mate. Yeah really good idea. The 2.0 version would feature AI. Im currently working on the ai to this also. Im currently working on my next little neat mod, but I will be tweaking this one to ai very soon

I'd toss in the suggestion that, from a gameplay standpoint, it might be a good idea to stick a minimum living dynasty members check on the thing. If most everything is carried over, including prestige and all that, non-controlled members of the new dynasty could easily split off themselves once they get some land of their own.

If there is going to be AI, I'd suggest these as potential triggers:

1. If the head of a dynasty converts to a new religion (or falls to a heresy) or culture.
2. If the county/duchy is physically separated from the rest of the realm for a long-ish amount of time.
3. If a vassal seizes Rome, Constantinople, Jerusalem, Baghdad, etc.
4. If denied office or rank for an extended period of time.
5. Purposeful dismemberment of a du jour kingdom.

These are just suggestions, but I love the idea and would like the AI to provide a little more complexity and entropy into dynastic successions.

Wow thanks. The idea with the 'key provinces' is spot on mos def need to be added. Makes sense.

For me the primary factor is always prestige as it reflects the standing among peers. If someone accumulate enough prestige anything should be possible.
I'll definitely add the one with the provinces regardless of prestige perhaps but also look into the other points as triggers if a character has enough prestige.

You could add a disinherit button so you could force other dynasty members to forfit their claims and start a new cadet branch.
maybe make it an option to invite your previous family members to your new dynasty?
