To improve the sound, I would need better firing sounds (the ones in the game are the best ones I found after a vast research on the internet) and better understanding of the code of sound firing mechanics.
In time, I'll improve the code and test new sources of sounds to find a proper replacement.
yeah no of course. Like I said I love the mod, I ain't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
https://fxhome.com/sound-effects - How about the M41A Pulse Rifle sound effects from this list (at the bottom of the Bullet/Gun sound effects)?
Unfortunately they don't work with the game's firing system and sound way worse than the actual ones implemented. Right now I'm looking for the sounds from the Colonial Marines game, as they are the most faithful to the Aliens movie.

Doesn't AvP 2010 have the highest quality version to date? It doesnt sound /exactly/ like the original, as it seems to be a recreation, rather than ripped from the movie. But it definitely sounds nicer.
I was looking into the .asr files, but I didnt find the sound effect for the rifle, so they're implemented differently. Someone would have to rip it, but that's probably way too hard. So, yeah, this is probably the highest quality they can get.
