Collaboration Requests
Hey guys! I'm mostly a coder, but I'm still one guy, and I'd like to get some collaboration started.

Art Request:

First I'd like to request 2D art assets for my mod, since I'm mostly a coder and definitely can't make art that fits in with existing art assets. I've been modding for years now, and I know just how rare of an honor it is for artists to spend their time contributing to someone else's mod. I will of course list you as a contributor and credit you accordingly, but that is unfortunately about all I can do.

Gameplay Request:

I'm kind of bogged down implementing my loot mod. I'd like to make a rebalance mod eventually. Ideally I'd like to join a larger group to work towards the so called holy grail of a "long war like collaboration". I have no particular plans, but please do reach out to me so we can get some networking started.

Hey, Grimy. As I said on reddit, I might be able to help out with 2D stuff, however, seeing how most 2D weapon upgrade assets are based off of 3D models, if I made some 2D images and you later get someone to help you with the 3D stuff, the images will be obsolete, so they would most likely just be placeholders for now.

I will admit, that reading your document, I have no idea what to make for some of the upgrades as a 2D image. For example the lightweight upgrade. The only thing I could think of that would make sense is an abstract stylized feather image with an upwards arrow.

Yeah, don't sweat it. The names are flexible though. If you draw something that just makes sense with with a + mobility bonus, I can always rename the base item. Like, maybe you could draw a blade with holes drilled into it for example. Mostly saying this as future reference to any artists who might be up for the job.

I'm working on abilities, and see a lot of opportunity for ability and enemy rebalance for a more fun and interesting game.

There's probably a lot of people looking to make full rebalances, and we should make a community effort to organize and collect these peoples' ideas and work into something cohesive.

I totally would be on board for working on something like that for a while.

I'd rather not spend time on assets if other contributors are already working on them, could we add a column on the google doc saying who is working on what?

Hey, I hadn't dropped off, yesterday was just a weird day: was tired from work and then the rain caused a black-out where I live for most of the day after I got home, so sorry for not replying earlier.

I'm glad Jack decided to help, to the point I'm fairly sure he probably knows what to do far better than I. I am still willing to help if needed, but as I said, I only tinkered with image editing software a little for shiggles before, so my stuff is probably not going to be nearly as good as his.

Something I might be able to do relatively easily (I hope) is icons for the new skills/perks/etc. granted by the new upgrades.

Just a single perk icon for weapon upgrades, or one for primary weapons and one for sidearms would be sufficient.
