Empires Requested and badly needed
I may need your guys help to make the AI use the mod(pretty please)

for anyone interested in making a empire for the ai in the mod, i'm currently facing slowdowns in making those as just carefully simulating just one has already taken me 4 days of my time. so i'd like some help from poeple who play with my mod for this.

this basicly includes a few requirements:
1) note down the techs you research in order of doing that
2) number your desighns after the the same order(ex ship with third tech would be 'T3_shipname')
3) everytime you upgrade a desighn save it as a new desighn with a incremental number in it
3a) if the desighn is upgraded to use new tech you can keep the name the same but with a higher T
4) if you have required or prefered starting 'charges' please note these down(in combos the first)
5) contact me to submit, i can provide a dumping place for them
5a) put them in a `archive` file type for less clutter

(noting down things can be done in a txt file but anyway is fine)
(your desighns that are saved in the game can be found in `%appdata%\airshipsgame`)
(it would be nice if your empire has a focus or fixation on some types of modules or style)

if you are wondering why I'm having trouble if it sounds easy, well it requires one to make designs and keep track of every design they make, landships, airships and buildings as well as have a theme going for the whole fleet and allow the ai to have a little wiggle-room for the things it could do with everything.

now imagine it having to do it multiple times, effectively having to play those numbers of campaigns in one go is inhumane and while i could just throw something together it will seriously degrade the 'flavor' of that empire, though i guess i'm asking for something a human would make while needing to make something a computer should have(ie. easy to squash).

I think I could help. Could you suggest a few themes maybe? I might need a jump start to the creativity. Also, did you have a deadline in mind?

there is no dead-line for it but rather sooner than later, if you need a optional one then it's before the 27th this month.

also for my first empire that i'm busy with i made it based around the rocket engines and rockets in the mod and had it rush those techs while taking a few commerce techs here and there, so while fast and deadly with rams, everything is just weak-ish.

i could use a few generic empires as the basegame has 9 or so strats so adding a equal or greater amount of strats will diversify the game allot.

the next one I'm making is turtle-centric with only a single design for a airship, building and landship where it just builds it up.

after that i will do a super generic one where it just researches everything in order by tier.

stuff like that, but you can also just base it around having arches everywhere or using de-couplers every battle to make a turret fragment in the game using de-couplers. but you can also just base it on spaceships or fleets/building/iconic styles of foreign countries or your own(though in my case windmills would be weird). hell you could just make one that's based around cat shapes for the heck of it.

Ok, got several designs created along an Egyptian-themed/commerce empire. I'm currently playing it through a campaign to get the research and design iterations right. I've got some ideas for a junker-themed empire to come next. Sorry I'm slow, but it's coming along.

BTW, my working assumption is that if the only defensive buildings available to the empire all have commerce modules attached, then the AI would have no choice but to utilize the commerce modules. Do you think that will work?

yeah, no it's ok, the campaighn is somethng very slow by sheer nature of it being "the campaighn" so even if you only made it halfway through it could still be usable by the ai since while tech unlocks new stuff, all things are stora ballanced between each other.

that will work, though it's not nessary it will make them use it more likely, also for some reason when building stuff they prefere to build the most exspensive things they can so you can have something small "evolve" into something bigger if you want, if you keep the upkeep low something like 0 or negative it will mean they will field more ships, the commerce things help in this as they need alot of space to produce money so they can't build as much fodder as otherwise.

also it is posible to have the ai upgrade things a few time in the same tier if for instance you build something that cost 4000 and have several stages to upgrade it due to lack of funds for several stages.
