Hey there,
After finishing the game on ironman once i decided to go at it again with a higher difficulty (commander ironman), but with mods to freshen things up, despite some mods displaying stats i didnt pick any mods that made the game easier, or so i thought.

Unfortunatly i have to say, after encountering 2 of the missions in the early game it made the game a ton easier (i had them spawn as second mission and as first retaliation mission).
Not only did the missions give me a big amount of soldiers (didnt loose any in both missions) but the missions also leveled all parttaking soldiers quite a bit.
This basicly breaks the game if it comes to difficulty.


Various mutually exclusive ideas here to fix this:
1) Have the additional fighters not join the xcom, or only one or two of the surviving once. (They stay behind to protect their own resistance group as they did before)

2) Dont create the soldiers from nothing but rather have the skyranger drop them, and take them from the armory (xcom soldiers). Those could also be wounded soldiers like in the games defense missions. It'ld be fine to still add one or two rookie resistance fighters from the settlement, i guess.

3) Make the map duration shorter, so less soldiers spawn on both sides. Therefore less levels can be gained on enemies and less recruits will be gained. Also push the missions back to first appear on midgame and later.


Personally i'ld prefer the second solution. It would be in line with the games natural difficulty while still with an potential additional reward (high level gain and 1-2 new rookies). While also increasing the risk, as its your own soldiers you wager. Additionally you would have to keep a good stock of soldiers in the foundry to actually get soldiers in the first place. (Aka you're screwed if you only have like 8 soldiers).


Also, please, make the mod not pull from the character pool by default, you know its a problem, and i think most people dont have an extensive character pool.
