A theory regarding possible causes for the overleveled wild rexes
Now, I'm assuming that the level 300+ rexes are not intended. If it is, please disregard this post.

If it's not, then I bring forth a theory. The idea is, the only places in any map that have overleveled creatures are in caves. Could it be possible that the rexes (or the area they spawn in) are marked as "cave spawns"? Now I'm no modder and have very little idea on how it works, but the idea seems sound.

That would make sense but I'd wager he has checked for it. Always good with inputs tho

The really high-level critters (over 150) on my map (set to "max dino level" of 47 and a Dino Difficulty modifier of .3), are in a cave - very far inside the cave. Scorpions, snails, spiders. No rexes, though.

You need to look in the right spots. The super rex only spawn in 3 locations. Check the other posts for coordinates, then check them for yourself to be sure.

Okay - but I think I know what's going on already. Deep Cave spawners have different attributes from regular ones. I am curious if these overleveled spawns can be tamed through normal means?

Oh - my - I just found a post with the coordinates and it looks like the area we called "Pride Rock" - for obvious reasons - and I thought that was intentional. They spawn at 130-150 on our server at that spot.

I'll take a screencap later of the spot where rexes at level 300 and above spawn. And yes, they're tamable by normal means.

My rex is lvl 722 Snicker. Tamed it at lvl 388 wild. Everything else is a max of 150 wild. They are very much tameable and they spawn in several areas very much above ground. I dont think its this cave theory tho, because its 2 many different spots and its exclusively rexes. Worth checkign tho
