Dear Tkat5200: Give us a way to disable super high level rexes. Please?
Maybe an ini option or something. While im sure it's a 'feature' of your map, there seem to be a great deal of users who would like to turn these off. what ever the chosen dino level these things are rediculously higher and there are a lot and always in pairs. On my server they are between 1400 to 2000+ Compared to max level 600 dinos. Please consider making them an optional spawn. Please.

Na. A little excitement never hurts. You shouldn't be scared of them. Just go up to them and touch the toes! Or tame them.......
Remoraz 20 Apr, 2017 @ 2:54pm
They certainly invalidate the use of the map on a cluster.

I agree. all Dino levels on map should be tied to Difficulty setting which is set by server configs. Please remove the hard-coded super rexes and other super high level dinos.

Guys I have seen other people complain about the Super Rexs, but each time the author claims he didn't do anything to spawns, they are the same as vanilla spawns. And I'm sure with time he'll replay to this post the same way. I'm curious as to wether or not he has actually gone through the spawn codes and double checked them. Cause obviously wherever he got the coding for the spawns includes super rexs.
Iirly 22 Apr, 2017 @ 8:56am
I hope he does. Because it is NOT the same as vanilla spawns. On our SE and the Center maps we have no super rexes. The only high level dinos come from specific mods and none of those high levels are rexes.

FWD 3 spawn points that im seeing. One near the redwoods at green obelisk, one where wyverns spawn around Blue obelisk area where the wyverns tend to have an orgy ball in the sky, and then an area of the beach. They spawn in 1500-2200+.

Im at default 1. with Pugnacia. Ive seen some weird wyvern spawns in the 700+ but all primevals are at 672. Rex's its a few areas that are spawning super high. They are fast too. Not a problem higher level but they sure tear newbies apart. Some people have gotten so frustrated they left the server since they are spawning at a spawn point area.

It happens with Pugnacia too, couple o youtuber's who play it did an episode about the super high level rexes.

We've noted the same thing, thought about maybe not keeping Thieves in our cluster, but ultimately since they can't damage metal, and anyone in the cluster can pop over and get a few (made even easier with craftable tribute terminal and tranq plus mods - 1 black arrow or 2 red arrows drop those suckers), we decided to keep the map. However, I agree that spawn point code needs checking....Must be something in there causing this.

Honestly guys, I didn't do this LOL

Its not our settings... check out this part of a series.

PartiallyRoyal has continually had issues with these high level rexes and got to the point where they blanket banned them from being tamed at all on their server.

fake video.. lol it is from a playthrough. Seen multiple times throughout it these mega rexes that keep spawning. It is only at specific spots. Just showing you that it IS a thing that occurs on this map. You can deny all you want, but not much more proof than live recordings.

All other dino are normal levels. Some rex in certain spawns are super high level, not all rex. its not the settings. Don't treat me like I don't know what I am talking about. I'm reporting an actual issue. You may not be experiencing it, but others are. If you can't deal with it, then just too bad. IF you would take the time to look at that link I showed you, watch about 5 minutes and you will see that on THAT server (like mine) normal dino's are not doing crazy high levels (on that server it is like 0.5 difficulty or something). He scopes a rex after they left the area with the huge crazy amount of them, its level was like 172.. all other dino were maxing out at like 60-70 after tame... so... yeah.

Not the settings in the .ini. Try your wisdom again. I will be waiting young grasshopper.

Like we all stated its a problem on your end kiddo, he doesn't make any changes in dino's lol sorry but your link is found to be fake and it was taken down so it doesn't work. Now go whiine elsewhere if you can't deal with it go play on official maybe you arw not meant to host a server or to incompentent

1. The link is there and working just fine, if you can't see it, it is a problem on your end kiddo
2. There are other ways to accidentally affect a spawn points natural spawn level threshold
3. You are clearly just a troll not not helping in any way and your comments are unfounded and in distaste

To whomever actually is looking for an actual SOLUTION. I'll be testing it out in single player tomorrow to see if I can find out exactly where some of the the spawns are and then report back my findings.

Not a "fake" video. I have the same issues with the mega-rexes. I have been running Ark servers since they were available to run.

I currently have a 6 server cluster including Thieves Island and I have tested it with no mods on a generic vanilla install and I still see the higher level rexes.

I am not saying the map's author has caused this, maybe it is a bug in Ark. But it is definitely real.
