New Lat and Lon
Hi Tkat5200,

Thanks so much for the update... the updated map and correct in game lat and lon are great...

I have a question though... Normally to convert x and y to lat and lon you would divide by 8000 and add 50. However this doesn't work for this map, it seems you end up with the old lat and lon. Do you have another formula for this map?

TheKewee i'd be lying if I said anything other than this: Exilog did the GPS fix and in game map update for me, he did say he had to use a different formula because of the shape of the island / map.

That's really all i know.

Any chance you could ask Exilog for the new formula for me? I've written an app for my servers that interrogates the current server save file for lost dinos. Unfortunately, I'm limited to x y and z. These are okay for me as admin to TP too, however I'd like the players to be able to search for their own dinos via our website without admin assistance.
