Rare flowers?

is it just me or is finding rare flowers not possible? perhaps I am just looking in the wrong spots and if so can someone tell me where they are. Thanks and have a great day :D

I was struggling last night but I found a bunch of beaver dams near the island with the blue Obylysk.
