Graphical Shifting
So for some reason when I'm on this map I keep seeing the surface textures shifting between what looks like high textures and low textures. Just going back and forth constantly. Anyone elese have this issue or had it and knows how to fix it? I've already reset my graphic settings and it didn't do anything.

I've spent hours trying to figure this out. I even completely deleted the game and all mods and reinstalled (which took forever) and still have issues with textures. I'm not sure if its like a memory leak cause by the map and a mod together or something but it's weird. Are you on a server with the pugnacia mod by chance?

No we have no creature mods on our server.

Horrible lighting issues and the sand is shifting for me over here. Running Pugnacia too but i do not believe that is the cause. That is a map texture issue. Guessing 2 different type of sand layers. Im near green obelisk and seeing alot of problems. Haven't checked other places.

LOL its not a MAP texture issue...I'm not using any custom assets or loading them in ANY differntly than the Vanilla map. and define horrible lighting issues...I know of two issues and its a bug that is known in the normal game. If you mean the testing of LUT on certain areas (making some areas more contrast or lighter) it a test....should be sorted soon...ish...

the map is NOT causing texture issues....

its the game, its lag, its the internet AND its the latest update...its not the map. How do i know this? because I test the map on multiple machines for weeks before the release goes live. if thi had a texture issue i would have either fixed it in a patch or pulled the release and waited.

You have to understand something, with exception to the 3 boats at the bottom of the ocean and the castle tower in this map...EVERYTHING is stock from the vanilla game.

I don't mod the textures, I dont' mod their streaming and I do NOT mess with the code.

If you are having issues.. i'd bet it has more to do with the bevy of mods you have installed and the stack they are in rather than the map alone. play the map with NOTHING else installed...runs fine 100%

I messed with my settings and managed to fix the shifting a bit.

Yeah, I have been having this problem with a couple different custom maps and I think I just found a solution that works for me. all you need to do is put this line in your Launch options in the game properties and your textures should load properly:

-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10

Hope this helps.
