Firstly. thank you...all of you...haters and lovers of my work. You at least gave me a chance to do something and I appreciate the hell out of that. the next bit here is gonna sound ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to some, solid to others and maybe even to a few I'll sound like an ungrateful ♥♥♥♥♥...that's fine. I don't care really what people think, but i do want to be honest and transparent.

Its not easy to just dive in and start working on something when you have no idea what you are doing.

This was my very first unreal map. I have worked with Unreal for years...but as a producer...not a designer or artist. so while i understood things. I never actually was able to apply what i knew.

so ...ARK was great in that aspect. It helped me learn and gave me an amazing application (ARK) to learn on.

I was even more humbled and grateful when WC approached me and asked me to be a part of the program. Was promised support, guidance..tools and more (cash and ♥♥♥♥)...I got the money....but nothing else.

Even after multple requests...i never was given any support...a lot of the time I was left to my own devices.. Somethign I didnt' sign up for and made very clear when I was talking to them before I signed up. I already HAVE a full time job in games...don't need two.

so...that brings us to today.

I just cannot support the maps an my day job without support from the Discord community and the Wildcard team. sadly...they didn't feel the need to support me. Only a small group from the lot they put into the program. so my maps started to suffer...and they just put more pressure on me.


so i made a descision. Walk away.

just walk away. if you can't get support to help you grow and be a better person at what you do...and you can't do it alone. you need to just stop. the definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing but expect different results.....I just cannot continue to dump 80+ hours into this, ignore my family, friends and other resposibilities for a small VERY small group of people who just ignore my pleas for help and feedback.

Wildcard itself is kick ass. they work hard, they have lots of good people. there really is only one person I have issue with on their staff....and he knows who he is...and he best hope we never meet in person. because there will be a confrontation.

Best of luck wildcard. I hope ARK makes billions for all of you...execpt him...this one guys is useless in my opinion and would never had lasted more than a month on any team I was on. he's a scrub at best and i wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't in games in the next 5 years as I don't think he has what it takes for longevity.

keep in mind guys and gals...i don't think i'm great at this at all..i think i'm ok at best right now and feel like while i can hold my own... I have a lot more learning to do. I will say that both my maps did things no one else was doing that are now common place...and those that have been around on ARK for awhile...know this to be true.
