Using the Oil Rig
Anyone figured out how the oil rig works? I put the drill head into the rig and the oil well lights up, but there is no option to drill the oil well. Any suggestions welcome.

my problem was that it was too far out in the water. all i had to do is pick it up and move it, and then the option to drill the oil well appeared.

Lol that's what you were doing, yea think of it as a pumpjack not an offshore rig.

all you have to do is put the drill head in to the oil rig when it lights up the craft tab will light up just craft it. job dun make sure it has power and is turned on :steamhappy:

how to use the oil from the rig? I have 5 barrels. It's posible refined or craft to Gasoline?

The problem I see with the oil rig right now is you pump engram points a significant amount of resources and an ongoing amount of material into drill heads. Each drill head seems to be *updated 61 barrels of the refined oil, the refined oil itself cost me 5 engram points, but i didnt have to craft it so that was 5 engram points wasted.

Second for the amount the drill head costs it just isnt worth it, if the oil is equal to a default oil resource in the game.

Maybe I am missing something, or it's not fully implemented yet.

Suggestion: The drill heads should last SIGNIFICANTLY longer, maybe make the oil take a bit longer to produce as well as to not imbalance the game, but the drain on resources is way too high right now.

And we use the Refined Oil for...?
Cause it won't make gasoline, it won't power up as oil and it won't let you craft things with it instead of regular Oil.
So... what is Refined Oil for?

For the people that are wondering like I was about the oil barrels, you just place the barrel in the portable generator from this mod and it consumes it as fuel. Im not sure if its better than just oil or not. (I would assume it is.)

It works exactly as oil, but if you use a stack hack and you can't use it EXACTLY as oil, your stack hack mod has altered Oil incorrectly.

I ended up tearing ours down because it feels imbalanced, too much cost per oil. rest of the mod is awesome though.

1 refined oil is the same as 1 oil.... dung beetle makes oil faster
