Started a new campaign (with extended, not vanilla) and played about 2 hours yesterday. Fired it up today, and mod appears to be unfunctional in that save game. all extended weapons are removed from armory. However, started another new campaign to test, and all seemed to be working. However, I dont want to have to start a new campaign every time I want to play...

Hi Durzo!

You don’t have to start a new campaign every time you want to play. The save mechanic of RWR can cause these problems if you try to load an outdated save file with a newer version of the mod. Since I updated the mod recently (on the 7th of June 2016 at 1438 hours CET), there’s a high change that your saved campaign was out-of-date.

Here are two possible solutions to this predicament:
  1. Switch maps in your campaign.
    If you can load up the saved game and the arsenal is busted because of an update, go to another map to cause a map change. This will usually reinitialize the armory loadout and everything should be back to working condition.

  2. Create a new campaign.
    Only use this method if the first method fails or the save isn’t loadable anymore. Sometimes major updates can render saved campaigns unplayable. In that case the load game button will be grayed out, or you will receive an error message upon trying to load up your save file. If either of these things happen, there’s no way around it and you have to start a new game.
I hope this solves your problem in the future. Since all mods suffer from the same bug if they’re frequently updated, I might create a ‘known issues’ threat for everyone to look this up.

So i subscribed to the mod but it still says version 1.24 and I cant start a campaign.

@Dupe – Regarding buggy Campaigns:

Greetings Dupe.

Thank you for your report. I’ve taken care of the bug and it should now work again as intended. I’ve updated the mod right now (on the 26th of June 2016 at 2313 hours CET), to fix said bug and the version should be 1.26. If the problem still occurs try the following:
  • Reinstall the mod by unsubscribe and subscribe again.

If the mod doesn’t work after the fix is properly installed, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Hey, thanks a lot for the quick update Ryudo.
"Crash dump ok" error every time I enter a friend's game.
Every time I hop on to a friend's game with the mod (we both subbed to it and are trying to play it), I freeze and I get a "Crash dump ok, check x" error window. Is there any way of fixing it?

I'm currently working on solving that bug. Sometimes one or more of the additional weapons of the PLA are crashing games of the clients as soon as they are present on the map. This happens because of an unresolved bug around the number of new weapons. It's very opaque and I'm searching for ways to fix it while releasing hotfixes that should work around this bug.

Try the following to get around the problem:

  • Start a new campaign together.
    One of my workarounds was to push the bug to some rare weapons and tried to prohibit anyone from spawning with it. On extremely rare occasions rare bosses are spawning with these guns, crashing clients in the prosess because the weapon is on the field.

This is just a workaround though. I try to fix that bug asap, but to do that I think I might have to have a word with the game devs. I hope you can get around that issue in the meantime.

P.S.:
If you could give me some additional information, as well as a link to the files 'rwr_game.log' and the crash.dmp, it would help out in resolving the issue.
It would also help if they're fresh and not filled with old game data. So you might want to delete these two files and try to connect to your friend again so that the game generates the files while crashing.

Thank you for your report. I’ve yet to keep up with the changes in the latest updates of RWR. Since I had a lot going on irl, I still have to get behind everything. So could you specify what exactly happens, when you call vehicle drops and where you call them?

Vehicle drops don't work: At the time the vehicle should be dropped, the marker disappears and there's no vehicle. Sandbags have the same problem.

The only calls that seem to work are for fire and reinforcements.

@Everyone – Regarding all bugs

Greetings everyone.

As far as it seems, the updates over the years broke the mod completely. The system how items are brought into the game changed as well and I have to look up how it worked. Same goes for the supply drops and other things.

Long story short: the mod needs to be rebuild completely. I currently have no time to cram through all these changes due to personal circumstances. I'll post an update as soon as I got the time to get behind things.
