Undine - Issue?
Hi,

Start up: Great mod! I simply love playing it and the various races available. The Undine were looking to be a great challenge but currently running into some issues.

I have had the Undine running from the start and am now in year 2280. I have been unable to "Spore Drive" jump any scouts (or any other ship) outside of Fluidic Space (contrary to being able to in the game before the last patch update)

I thus find myself researching the same techs over and over again now and without any interaction with regular space.

I have built a Rift Generator but can'T use it as I need the EXPLORATION tech but it has never come available (this was the same issue in the previous game prior to the last patch update)

Are we to continue waiting without any chance of getting into regular space? Is this wanted with the new patch or is it a bug? I figured the game would have me become the "major threat" but seems it is letting me simply slumber in my little corner :)

Also I was able to jump for a second into the "Unaccessible" fluidic space held by the Andine but they immediately kicked my scout AND all warships and closed borders so unable to get back into that little system either.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to complete their storyline to escape fluid space.
Kill the neutral mobs to gain access to terraforming, terraform and colonize the planet in your initial system to gain a CB on the andine, conquer the andine to eventually cause the borg to open fluid space for you.
Be warned that when the borg open it, they send a cube of ridiculous strength. I sent 30k fleet power against it and didn't even dent it, so max out your fleet capacity before you conquer the andine.

Thanks for the input to clarify how this'd work thus far; so it also stands to reason the Undine would need to build up their fleet strength really far to do what they have to do in order to invade... but that also fits the Borg doctrines for "first contact" protocols.

Time so terraform and then face off my 4 x 130k fleets against incoming borg :)

Best odds is that when you're facing or planning on facing some strong adversaries, train your troops and refine the technology constantly, as well as crew skill levels as much as possible prior to such a battle; then hit the main galaxy with a bang, and, just as 8472 apparently did, blow the Borg away almost immediately in the conflict that results!

Well it seems I ran into the same issue twice now. Both times it seems to be a bug I believe.

Year: 2285

Managed to get rid of the borg and take over all of fluidic space. Yet once I built a rift and it gives me the window of FLUIDIC BREACH CREATED it keeps saying "REVISED LIST" but offering no options to go to. So I am basically stuck in fluidic space. This has happened twice so far in the same "YEar" (+/- 20 years)

Has anyone managed to get OUT of Fluidic space? If so, what year? Maybe it's because I waited to long to take over all of fluidic space that it causes this issue?

I have the same problem, 3 games now and I still can't even get the Andine to spawn.

same here! kill neutral mobs? - done! Terraform and colonize? - done!! do research on the temple? - done as well! But ive only got some message from Andine, my fluidic mastery went to 7/4 and NO Andine spawn, no Borg opening the rift... just nothing, no matter how long i wait.
I've tried some runabout - to get jump engine as high as possible and simply jump into normal space, but apparently all systems in available range belongs to someone (Kazon sect i believe), so my ships cant jump there... ;/

Ah, Industrial centre... one on capital planet, cannot build it anywhere else as well.. pain in the ass having constant shortage on its products :/

I read somewhere that it only works on the 1400 milky way map, I'm just starting a new game to see if it works. I'll post again if it works.. could be a while lol

I'd guess that as Species 8472, your people don't know of anywhere beyond Fluidic space, so they are saying "Where?" when you mention the emphasis on "going out there", they don't realize that anything's out there, so they're unwilling to venture out there, until you make contact apparently with the Borg.
And it is for that very reason that you've got to get a very strong military by the time of your contact with them: if you do, you'll overwhelm them and basically conquer the Collective; enter the galaxy with a bang, and constantly build up strength until you make the rest of the galaxy your protectorates; and gobble them up one at a time from there on in.
That's exactly how I'd do it in their shoes.

Using a 1400 size milky way map they spawned as soon as I did the project on schima, tried 3 times on the 900 version and they wouldn't spawn even after that pop up that says declare war.

That might; I've never played yet as the Undine, so I can't verify one way or another.

looks like @BlimBurn is right. Untill now i've played 900+ middle size galaxy, and never got Undine plot working.... yesterday i went with normal 1400+ size gala and - wow, it worked!
Hmmmm... i do like Undine, but i dont like 1400+ gala, so its over for me :/
Switching to Borg, theyre working well despite galaxy size. Or maybe i'll try Dominion? The are some badass too :D

There's a hotfix coming soon, hopefully that'll sort the 900 map for us.
I'm playing the 1400 map but now I can't seem to build the bio infester, I have however made my way to the milky way and got the war on delta event.. which started a war with the cytherian enlightenment, probably gonna die >.<

Actually I have been playing the 1400+ galaxy this whole time. I did all the steps but when it should open up NORMAL space to me I get a "revised list' with no systems listed as choices. So basically am still stuck in fluidic space and now have this POP UP appearing with REVISED LIST continuously and cannot remove it so basically stopping the game dead.
