Ships with missing components
I just formed the United Federation of Planets as United Earth with the Tellerites, Vulcans, and Andorians. Lots of fun events, my economy has mostly survived intact but my unity plummeted for the time being, my empire size nearly doubled as did my number of upgraded starbases, and my naval capacity has also had a nice increase of ships.

While surveying my new acquisitions, I've noticed that one of the ships, the one of the ships gained from the Tellerite is mostly stripped of components and even has no ship class name. Because it's not a UE design, I can't upgrade it. Is there any way to get the ship to actually have components on it?

I don't believe so, not for that one. What I've done is just keep that in my fleet until I get ship designs with a higher military power, at which point I scrap it.

Yeah, I have it on a light patrol duty right now. Oddly enough, it has recently picked up the upgrade arrow next to it. I'll send it for an upgrade later on and see what it becomes.

I've done that myself; however, as you've noted, there's nothing to upgrade it to, so if my experience is any indication, it'll sit in your shipyard and do nothing. I'm fairly sure that's a bug.

Yeah, upgrade button didn't even engage when I tried to click it. Ah well. The Romulan War just started, so I think it'll be a sacrificed ship to try and save some of my Federation ships.
