If you have already tested all possible fixes and the mod still crashes and you have limited RAM memory such as only 8 gigs, one thing some members of the community have said has helped them has been running Stellaris/mod in dx9. You can do this by:

Right click on Stellaris in your Steam library -> choose Properties -> And write to the Launch options "-dx9" (without those "" marks obviously) and then launch the mod. This should then launch Stellaris and the mod in dx9 instead of the standard dx11 that might help performance on lower end machines. You can see what dx version you have in use from Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/system.log.

!Also notice that if you do this and then in the future want to switch back to dx11, you need to then at least once write "-dx11" to Launch options as otherwise it will just say in dx9 mode!
