Bugs and Suggestions

At present, I'm considering some changes to the Slayer Tree. Possibly turning Swift Blade into a cooldown ability that is unlocked at Captain, and turning Sunder into a Colonel ability that is more effecitve overall (possibly gauranteed crit, rupture effect, etc). Most importantly, kills made with it would allow non-flanked players to re-enter concealment.

I'm considering these changes because: a) Stealth gameplay and combat bonuses are central to this class, and while Slayer tree characters can stay in stealth with careful use of Shadowstride melee attacks, once they are revealed, they can never re-enter concaelemnt. b) Giving the player a Swift-Blade-like ability at Captain means that melee players gain much needed flexibility and killing power before fully maxing their character.

@GawDamnit, first, thanks for this class. I only use a few non-stock classes and this is one of my faves. Second, I think there may be a conflict with some of Musashi's code, as when I use Switft Blade with ShadowStride I am ALWAYS revealed when my attack does not kill the target. Suggestions? What do you need from me? (BTW - I am also in the middle of a heavily-modded run, so I may definitely have a conflicting mod). Thanks!

@eightiesboi, glad you're enjoying the class. My time is unfortunately quite limited so I don't know when I'll be able to do a detailed investigation, but you can give me some info in the meantime. Can you let me know which of Musashi's mods you have installed? Why do you think there is a conflict with that stuff specifically?

Thanks for the quick response! I have Musashi's CovertOps Gear, Katana Pack reloaded, and SpecOps Combat knives. I suspect that the suspicion mechanic conflcts between these items and the Swift Blade+ShadowStride manuever, as I have no problems with remaining concealed when I make a kill. I will try to video a session showing this happening. What else do you need to know?

Well, you can do some testing yourself to narrow down the culprits, as I really don't have time to do this unfortunately. I would try one of these mods at a time to see if doing so fixes the problem. That should make it pretty clear if one of them is conflicting.

Copy that... I will see what I can figure out and let you know. Again, thank you-- I love XCOM 2, but it's modders like you that make the game truly epic.
