So far I also went for non-aligned China most of the time - and even when I went for a different ideology, I always kept the KMT in power. :P

IMO if your goal is world domination then it makes the most sense to go down the facist line for the combat buffs. Sooner or later you're gonna want to go to war with the US, why democracy?
