Slash and Fleche do not do equal damage at point blank range
I believe fleche to have a bug in it's damage calculation. My sword equipped assault standing next to a sectoid can do 8-10 with fleche and 4-6 with slash.

It's supposed to do that. Read the description. Fleche adds a point of damage for every 3 tiles a soldier moves. Slash doesn't. I can be used twice however.
