MOD suggestions & feedback
From a mod changing robots only I wish to see slightly more to be done to those lovely creatures: I suggest to change Droids so they have bonus to energy credits production, because it seems unfair that upgrading AI tech does not add much for Robots-Droids upgrade, while Droids-Synthetics instantly make them OP.

Looking at it logically I see the need for a deeper rebalance. IMHO, mineral output buff should be independent from robot tier - I see no reason for the labor ability the mechanical body provides to be dependent on intellectual properties of those creatures. Therefore I suggest to normalize mineral output to +15% for all robot tiers.

As for energy production, which I see as a management of power plants processes, it requires the ability to follow instructions and react to circumstances according to prescripted procedures. Droids shall be able to do that without errors in any circumstances, even under pressure, reacting quicker and more correct compared to humans, therefore let the +15% buff be applied to Droids and above, while giving debuff to Robots as it was before (as those can not perform complicated tasks).

As for Synth, let them have +15% bonus to minerals, energy and research, but not unity. Slight nerf, I know, but it should work well for the balance since spiritualists can't get those at all.

I know, u will have to modify an additional file to achieve this, but given the narrow focus of your mod it should do some more in the area. Just a build speed buff alone is not enough for the whole mod.

If not possible to make those changes in this mod, please consider making a version 2.0 implementing the described rebalance, or rename it to smg like "Balanced Robots" or "Robots Reworked" or whatever.

Please. :)

I didn't even realise there had been a discussion started.

Well, I just uploaded a Different Robots mod... although that was made before I read this. Check it out.

Oh, and BTW, Synths might be more OP than you think. They're +20% is actually +40% because they're affected by happiness.

As for this mod in particular, it's a super simple solution to a super simple problem. Further modifications will always come separate mod. No reason to add more features to this one. Well, you said it yourself in the next paragraph. Already done, albeit not in your image. Check it out and tell me what you think. A bit OP I'd say.

Nah, the idea of Different Robots I do not like. Above I described how I see the perfect balance and that is all I may like. IMHO, u know. :)
BTW, I think what this mod does can be achieved in a different way - the trait "Mechanical" that all kind of robots carry, can have a bonus to growth speed in itself. Increasing robots' build speed this way will let u avoid overwriting the vanilla files - u only need to duplicate the target trait in a separate file (ensuring the file name is older alphabetically than corresponding vanilla file with the traits u want to overwrite).

Yeah, I made it more for myself, but I shared it anyway. I can imagine why not everyone would like it. It makes the mechanics too strong.

There are many ways to go about implementing what you're asking, but I don't exactly have the time and patience to do it. Why don't you try it? You seem to have an understanding of how the files work.

I already have a set of mods to manage. I was thinking about "stealing" yours, but there are a lot of robot-related mods, it is cluttered already.

Nothing to steal, really... I mean, not from this one. Maybe from the other one. Feel free to take as much inspiration, tho I suppose it would be nice if you did give credit for the inspiration, and maybe linked the mod you took inspiration from in the description. I don't care much about getting traffic, since I don't get anything from it anyway, but if I made the mods anyway, might as well make them visible and make a few other people happy.
