Version 2.0 Feedback Thread
Hey there!
It took quite some time to create the 2.0 update and many of the changes came from your suggestions. So I would really appreciate it if you could give me quick feedback on them, namely:

Less Workbenches - Good or Bad?

No more Vancidium - Good riddance? Uranium too hard to get?

New Glitterworld Parts - Unbalanced? Unnecessary? Nice addition?

More colorful textures: Good looking? Too much?

Option to install AI cores: Overpowered? Balanced?

Mending scars - Balanced?

Anything else I could improve?

Thanks in advance for your time!

Less Workbenches: I think the up to 4-5 are still okay.

No more Vancidium: HAd always problems getting it (had to buy art because the was nothing)

New Glitterworld Parts: I think there are okay, maybe making them a little more funcional (if the rip implants count)

Option to Install AI cores: It is a good ideo, however it should be balanced (mabe 2 cores for one person and a very high mediicine level 15+)

Mending scars: Good addition, something that is cosmetically speaking very good.

Anything else I could improve: Maybe tweaking with the prices here and there (reasonably) and maybe changing the ammount of buyable vancidium if you want to leave it in.

Thats about what I can think of hopefully I can help.

I haven't gotten to a point where most of this is relevant in the game yet, but the ability to mend scars is sometihng I've wanted and needed for ages now.
Used to be that if there was a scarred torso, that was it, permanent flaw. Never gonna be fixed.
No more!
Not to mention, being a prostophobe is less of a deal-breaker for me now. Things can still be mended.

No more Vancidium - Good riddance. the worst part of the best mod is gone yes

Gotta say the persona core is really good but the constant mental breaks are getting me to the point where I want his old brain back. I'd rather sell the AI cores now than install them. Just a shame to have such a nice feature but not really want to use it unless someone has brain damage.

(Maybe a big hit to social activites would work since your character is pretty much a walking computer)

Less Workbenches - Excellent. Maybe even merge the simple prosthetics with the new crafting spot? Tribesmen should be able to craft peglegs and the like.

No more Vancidium - Good riddance. The job descriptions on the workbenches still say "upgrade with vancidium" btw.

New Glitterworld Parts - Nice addition.

More colorful textures: Didn't notice?

Option to install AI cores: Haven't tried, but seems fun.

Mending scars - Good.

Less Workbenches - Good

No more Vancidium - Good riddance for sure and a beautiful touch with Uranium

New Glitterworld Parts - Good

More colorful textures: Good

Option to install AI cores: As mentioned in comments, there's a lot of mental instability

Mending scars - Absolute perfection!

Anything else I could improve

1) This mod could be used to obtain a shed-load of silver by harvesting prisoners, that's fine and well if that's how players want to play; however I do suggest a new type of "silver-sink", perhaps including the need for silver for advanced bionics and/or glitterworld parts

2) "Experimental Workbench", for those that want their psychotic/bloodthirsty doctors to play a more immersive role.
a) Butcher animals at the Experimental Workbench and obtain unique parts that can be installed onto pawns providing strange and unique buffs and/or moods
b) Replace arms with guns (that have a chance to explode/jam/break).
c) Create your own Frankenstein's Monster, using one or two of every body part/organ, combine at the Experimental Workbench then watch as your new monstrosity awakens (creates a pawn)

3) I know it's a long shot... but somehow, I would like to have the option to make anesthesia a choice for my prisoners. I would love to harvest the organs from a prisoner as they are awake. It sounds sick, but after that raider killed my level 17 craftsman, i want him to suffer greatly. There would then need to be added sound files such as screams of pain and torment that would affect nearby pawns in different ways *cackles*

Sorry, I know only 1) is talking about an improvement... the others are just ideas.

Uranium could use a slight boost to its spawn rate on each map.

Vancidium was a great riddance, uranium is actually usefull now! Nice addition on the glitterworld parts, makes everything a bit more interesting, I like the tradeoff and the option to install the AI cores, however, the breakdowns occur so often I can no longer take said person on a caravan, so I tried to remove it, but that killed the colonist; and given that the AI chip limits consciousness at 65%, it seems I have a colonist stuck in base forever. I like to play this mod to create small elite colonies (6-8 colonists), so a different balancing mechanic would be appreciated! :)

1. Remove more, merge simple with crafting spot. Make a live research bench (that is the only way for you to research bionics). Giving different quests for different research rewards.
  • Put wood, stone and basic materials for basic prosthetics
  • Spacer age materials for bionic prosthetics (uranium, components, plasteel and gold)
  • downed humanoids for internal prosthetics
  • downed animals for synthetic skin
  • the bench requires a massive amount of power (5,000watts) when you accept this, when it is powered you get the research OR dead / downed mechanonds with undamanged antenna (or whatever bodypart identifies with portable power the most).

Of course have a random chance to have the research fail, or require multiple specimen.

2. Do your special magic with uranium like you did with textile traders (make a new way to get uranium)

3. Stop calling them glitterworld parts and make them full on deus ex implants (not the auxiliary ai though of course, and make a whole range of them:
  • nv eyes (eyes): no debuffs of any kind from darkness, eyes will slowly become damaged (reoccouring cataracs)
  • empathy booster (brain): 50% more positive social points from interactions and 50% less negative positive social points, removes anti-social traits (psychopath, bloodlust, cannibal)

4. tbh I would rather have no colors at all in medical tab but it's 100% subjective

5. The berserks are bs, think of a different nerf, I would recommend a 'disfigured' social debuff, recourring surgeries of varying difficulty that isn't shown (difficulty of surgery isn't shown) - like a heartattack but only when the pawn has a core in them and emps put them in a coma. Or disregard this all and just make an upgrade ai core that is extremely hard to get with easier to deal with nerfs

6. Kind of underbalanced, I didn't even know this was a feature and I'm more than 20 hours into the game.

Or disregard this all cus it's your mod and stuff

to the AI cores: If I had known that he would had several breakdowns a day, I would have preferred to keep him with the brain damage, because he is useless and a danger to my colony the way he is now... is there a way to get that thing out of him without killing him?

by replacing it with another brain implant (brainpal, ai chip)

Less Workbenches - Good or Bad?
Good. Now if only they could be minified.

No more Vancidium - Good riddance? Uranium too hard to get?
Good riddance. I had to set up an entire production line just for Vancidium. Now I just need to decide whether I want nuclear reactors (another mod) or nuclear colonists

New Glitterworld Parts - Unbalanced? Unnecessary? Nice addition?
Not seen these yet.

More colorful textures: Good looking? Too much?
Very good

Option to install AI cores: Overpowered? Balanced?
Not yet researched

Mending scars - Balanced?
Been looking for this for a long time. Still need giltterworld medicine to craft.

I made a thread about this, but if a hand is missing a finger, and you remove the hand and reattach it, the finger magically reappears. I feel that's something you could possibly work on, if at all possible.
ReddsNotDead 2017 年 6 月 4 日 上午 8:11
Sorry to comment again, but I think another good addition would be providing a tiny bit of documentation on how to mod your own prosthetic, if possible.
Tim_the_Enchanter 2017 年 6 月 4 日 上午 9:16
I like most of the newer features, however the AI core balancing needs to be looked at. I have a colonist that is going from Daze to Beserk haven't been able to use him in several days
