Also, plasteel is used in so many high-tech recipes that it's really not hard to run out very quickly and very often.
I actually find that plasteel is so hard or tedious to craft that I usually opt to buy it.
Seriously, Rimefeller, RimFactory, even mods that let you straight up craft plasteel are not enough for any decent or not-super-slow inflow of plasteel.
However, I think that the issue for me still stands: the costs for crafting some bionics is just silly. I would much rather have a higher work cost than a higher resource cost. Considering how limbs go flying and break all the time in Rimworld, bionics aren't something you craft once and forget about forever, either.
