Jump Drives Stats/Requirements.
**** Currently requirements are out of date. A bit different (for instance curator scientist will solve a lot of problem if you are having trouble getting one). ****


1. Jump Drive 2.

1) Req.
- Requires Jump Drive 1.

2) Stat.
- Hyperlane Charge up -80%.
- 60%+ Jump Range.
- 50/-50 Cost/Power.
- Tech grants 30 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 90). Not stackable with other Jump techs.


2. Jump Drive 3.

1) Req.
- Requires Jump Drive 2.

2) Stat.
- Hyperlane Charge up -85%.
- 100%+ Jump Range.
- 80/-60 Cost/Power.
- Tech grants 60 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 60). Not stackable with other Jump techs.


3. Psi Jump Drive 2.

1) Req.
- Requires Psi Jump Drive 1.
- WILL NOT APPEAR AT ALL unless a SOCIETY research scientist has expertise at Field Manipulation and at level 3 or higher.

2) Stat.
- Hyperlane Charge up -85%.
- 80%+ Jump Range.
- 50/-50 Cost/Power.
- Tech grants 60 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 60). Not stackable with other Jump techs.


4. Psi Jump Drive 3.

1) Req.
-Requires Psi Jump Drive 2.
-NO other requirements!

2) Stat.
- Hyperlane Charge up -90%.
- 120%+ Jump Range.
- 80/-20 Cost/Power.
- Tech grants 90 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 30). Not stackable with other Jump techs.
- Gives 20% evasion bonus.

5. Jump Drive 4.

1) Req.
- Requires Jump Drive 3, Tachyon Sensor and Tachyon Lance.
- Very low chance to appear.
- 0.7X chance if not (Fanatic) Materialist.
- 5X chance if a PHYSICS research scientist has expertise at Particles and at level 5.

2) Stat.
- Hyperlane Charge up -90%.
- 120%+ Jump Range.
- 200/+60 Cost/Power (generates power instead of consumes it.)
- Tech grants 90 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 30). Not stackable with other Jump techs.



6. Jump Drive 5.

1) Req.
-Requires Jump Drive 4 and Sapient AI.
-Even lower chance to appear than JD 4.
-0.2X chance if not (Fanatic) Materialist.
-5X chance if a PHYSICS research scientist has expertise at Computing and at level 5.

2) Stat.
- Jump Charge up/down -95%.
- 160%+ Jump Range.
- 240/+100 Cost/Power (generates power instead of consumes it.)
- 40% Emergency Jump hull damage reduction.
- Tech grants 105 Days cooldown reduction (120 -> 15). Not stackable with other Jump techs.

Now to obtain jump drive 1 and psi 1 are same as vanilla.

if the leader is above level 5, will it still get the bonus? or is it coded to have to be exactly at level 5?

@Klistofklades : Good point. I did not think about mods that may increase the leader's level above 5.

I will put really quick patch that makes the requirement of leader level higher than 4 (so 5 and higher will get it) rather than exactly level 5.

....Annnd it's done. For bonus I also added Curator scientists bonus. You will have easier (but not as easy as when you have original scientist requirement) time when you have a Curator scientist at the respective research department.

Could it be made so that you're slightly more likely to get the T4+ Jumpers if (regular) Materialist? Like, higher than if not, but lower than if Fanatic?

So Jump 5 requires Sentient AI... is it still available to Machine empires? Because those can't actually research Sentient AI.

EDIT: Looks like the answer is yes, it's available.

Except the requirements (which are almost same, almost...), the stats of jump drives are updated here.

2231 attempt to get Psi Jump Drive 4 levels with the best particle scientist. My fingers hurt from entering console commands. My paws tremble. Teeth crackle with tension. So, I'll ask the question until I've smashed my laptop in a fit of rage: how to increase the chance of getting, at least to 10-15%, without tearing myself into stuffing?

It seems that with 2.3 level 5 drives are not available to machine empires.
