This mod adds recipes to the base game and doesn't modify any of the game code for how it presents the options to the player. I had a couple hiccups when working on the mod (ex: when assigning the jobs during an initial paused load of a new game), but no critical issues. I don't suspect this mod to be responsible for any glitches in the game when reloading a save.
As for why the options are missing, I keep this mod up-to-date with the latest stable version of RimWorld, which is 1.1. If you want to continue your save games with 1.0, I have the mod available for download on Mod DB and GitHub.
I'm working on getting this mod usable for 1.0 and 1.1 simultaneously with all of the meals available for 1.0, but I hit an issue with language translation.
In the meantime, this mod will continue to focus on the latest stable version of RimWorld (1.1) with downloads for RimWorld 1.0 being available here:
