..You have to be totally commited to the game and accept that they will constantly break weeks of work without a single ♥♥♥♥ given. "This is why people ask for donations for large mods" because quite liturally, it takes away time from your family and life that otherwise- "to yourself" can be better spent.
I do apologise to those of you who followed us over the years and this mod, but the spark is gone for me and stellaris....It was a very valuable lesson for me personly in understanding what dev's and other mod creators go through. Made alot of freinds and some enemies. But the mod "should" still work as intended if you revert your game versions and disable any and all dlc that was/ isn't relevant to the era of the version... "In theory" But again, I just cant justify taking this kind of work on ever again to my misses. Now if you said, get a team together? weve tried that- nobody was as well trained at what we did and, despite their best efforts and again, could not manage to commit to the task. "It's alot of work" "Anyone can mod" but to keep persisting? you have to have real drive and incentive.
In this mod's peak, I was working 6 houres a day, 5 days a week to keep ♥♥♥♥ up-to date and each update caused 12+ houres work for 3-5 days to fix each update.....It's no joke when you totally change the entire game code, you are in essence "remaking the entire game over and over" ....your doing a whole office full of workers work, solo or between two people. Amazing we ever gmanaged to relese a stable 1.2.5 verison that fully recoded the entire game. I do hope people understand that. ...It will be updated when it is, is pretty much all I can say. I'm so far removed from modding stellaris now that I doubt id be able to find, let alone fix everything broken script wise without massive support from other's who recognise the issues and know a solution and some other incentive as I lituraly have no desire to get myself tied back down into keeping this updated each time they decide to make more money from the community.
By no means does this mean the mod's "Dead and gone" but realisticly, Idno if it will ever get back to the state it was in H.U. Not unless both me and yf22 get back to it and propperly dedicate out actual lives to the game and mod.
H.U will always be the golden child in my mind. "We had our time, not long enough if you ask me, but paradox decided to change the direction of stellaris, as is their right."
--Please do feel free to add me anyway if you want to talk about the mod or anything- I still am around, making mod's but have generaly moved away from stellaris for 2 years now, so any modding advice about stellaris could be out of date. "Probibly"--
I also have a discord here -> https://discord.gg/YhwFnGj
Was always just me and Yf22 in the end.
The dev's broke the mod so badly with the constant updates, "Like most large mods" by this point there was very little to salvage. Everything needs constant work and neither of us have the time.
My Stellaris is set to v1.2.5
I have Utopia and Synthetic Dawn installed.
Your mod & the color mod are the only mods I have subscribed to.
Is there anything else "theoretically" necessary?
I know some have had mixed results.
Well, at the start screen some of the races are missing their profile pictures, so I'm trying to look around and figure out what seems to be the problem.
Would reverting to an older version possibly fix that, or is 1.2.5 the theoretical ideal?
