I'll see if I can work out what is going on. In the mean time you may want to try using the spawnactor command instead of creating an item and see if that helps. By the way, only one person should need to activate the mod for all user to see it.

So, as someone very interested in using this mod, what would I need to do to get this to work for myself/other players after installing?

If you are using ARK Server Manager, just add the ModID: 737297870


Add this line to you game.ini file:
OverrideNamedEngramEntries=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_StatBarsHUD_C",EngramHidden=true)


Then execute these commands in game:
enablecheats [admin password]

admincheat spawnactor "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/StatBars/Content/StatBarsController.StatBarsController'" 1 0 0

I've just put up an update that should allow the mod to be installed by crafting the engram or using the admin cheat. Either will cause the mod to be installed for everybody on the server. I have however added a feature to opt in or out of displaying the new UI by pressing Alt-Shift-H. This choice will be remember between server or client restarts (Took me 50+ hours of debugging to get that working).

Nice Mod. Looks great! However, when we hit Alt-Shift-H to opt out, the vanilla stat bar appears and disappears, but your modded stat bar remains. Is there an easy fix for this? I have one or two players that don't want to use it. Thank you for your hard work.

Edit: Now working properly after restart!
