Feedback and suggestions
Hi all. This one has been up for a while now. I'm going to work on improvements and additional versions as soon as I get my resources back in order (hopefully this won't take as long as previous updates have). In the meanwhile, if you have any comments you would like to share regarding this mod, or suggestions for expansion or improvement, I would be happy to hear them.

Big thanks to everyone who has thus far given ideas or influenced my plans for the next updates. You guys are awesome!

i kno we've been shooting the breeze on these ideas before as to figuring out how to make Bolt versions of these but the thought just dawned on me, is it possible copy and convert the already made projectile types so that the active spells & what not that makes them function still work, while enabling the new copies to only be fired from crossbows? - its sounds a bit lazy but it COULD work as a temperay work around for bolted versions of these fanastic rune arrows - ts not like i havent seen users reuse arrows and merely scaled them down for "bolted" models before' - in theory as long as the properties are changed from bow to cross bow projectile, once fired, it should still function as normally'

figured i'd put that out here for you since last time we talked on the idea you couldnt figure out how to make the spells work correctly when applied to a bolt projectile form due to certian things i cant rememebr off the top of my head. lol

at anyrate it might be easier that way - but it would have to become a mod sepoerate from this one - as bolts and crossbows are a dawnguard thing' and this version works without the requirement of DLC'

I tried that very thing for a while mate, but it seems the crossbows, for one reason or another, work totally differently to the normal bow/arrows. No idea why, but they seemed to make it impossible to add any sort of impact effect if I remember correctly. It was a while ago I last tried now. :/

..is there a way to make enchantments that do these spell effects instead? - i know we can add things like life draining effects and fireballs to projectiles as enchantments for bows, crossbows, etc. I've seen modes that give certain weapons with enchantments to enable the power attacks performed with said enchanted weapon to leave a rune on the spot that's been hit with a power attack (hold the attack button for power attacks, in case anyone's forgotten) - if that method works for getting the desired effects - it wont have to be limited to one style of arrow or bolt then right?

Normally yeah, but the bolts are set up in a unique way. I don't think its that easy to edit them tbh :/ I did try.

Yes but i'm saying that if you take the spell effect itself and apply it as an enchantment that can be used by weapons - the game itself should apply those effects as needed to the bolt projectile automatically when fired - similar to how poisons on bows and crossbows in game. it wouldn't be the same as the arrows you could craft and it would be dependent on keeping the weapon charged, but it /should/ yield the desired effects'
Search for "Elaborate Enchantments by J3X" for examples. - its firebolt enchantment casts fireball where ever the user's cross hairs are aimed when pressing the attack buttion (provided you have the soul gem fragments needed for its casting cost) and then theirs the rune based enchantments that, when power attacking place the runes on the surface your weapon impacts. -- it makes me beilieve its feesable to build a working enchantment that, when you release the attack button (with bows or crossbows) you can have said enchantment auto cast the rune on what ever surface the crosshair's are currently locked onto, simulating the effect of how firing the rune arrows in this mod currently work to a degree.
