Shock Trooper Wall Climbing
I've had one suggestion that Legendary Shock Troopers recieving Improved Wall Climbing at Vetern is overpowered. I'm not sure.

Improved Wall Climbing is very powerful, however Shock Troopers already have Wall Climbing, so they merely lose a -3 def -3 physical damage penalty. Furthermore they are T4 so they are meant to be strong.

But... Getting a foothold in a fortress if fairly powerful, especially for a unit like the Legendary Shock Trooper.

Currently I am leaning to keeping it the way it is, but suggestions on anything are always welcome.

Summarize again :D Legendary units veteran upgrades lets ignore standart +1 melee +def +hp

Draco Flyer - Vision Range + Warcry
Dwarf Firstborn - essentially just +1 fire melee and its one of the weaker t3s
Ice queen - Nothing at all really and weaker t3s too
Big Beetle - Inflict enfeebling fever
Eagle Rider - Devastating Charge
Grypthon Rider - Inflict Crippling Wounds
Human Knight - +1 holy dmg
Tigran Sphinx - Scorching Projectiles
Shock Trooper - Regeneration + Imrpoved Wall Climbing

Sure I am not only one who clearly see balance issue here??? :D Dont make me think you are half-orc Sire :D You are bit stubborn in this case xD

Shock Trooper is fearsome enemy even without Improved Wall Climbing, dont make city defenders behind walls ♥♥♥♥ their trousers at start of combat give them small chance atleast

Hahaha, you give a convincing arguement. I see what you are saying. I need to nerf the human knights some more. ;P

It's actually quite nice to see it in a list like this, you don't see it while editing. I see your point now, but I'm almost leaning towards buffing everyone to the level of a Legendary Shock Trooper rather than weakinging them. Those cowards behind the walls deserve it.:UnhappyMask:

Actually though I think I'm going to look at a gold rank Legendary and compare it to a Gold rank Manticore or something.

Oh dear... I just opened the tome of wonders and totally see it now. In sum the shock troopers gain 4 abilities at no trade off, the dwarves gain 1 and trade off twice, and the knights gain none. And that's not touching the surface of the ice queen yet.


Also I should really document this somewhere, but the ice queen actually has a different frost nova than the other one, that's why I didn't give it an ability at 2nd rank.

Okay, just did a rebalance. once 1.7.0.5 is out of beta I'll update.

Shock troopers now

get regenerate and predator

and... improved wall climbing at gold.

Dwarves now possibly over strong with +2 def at veteran and +2 res at gold

Ice Queen now get Artic Concealment at veteran and Bestow Cold Flame at Gold (also last rite of winter doesn't kill them [not frost nova, I was wrong})
