Mele weapon feedback and ideas
Hello everyone!

The next version of Manufacturer's touch is on it's way, and it will come, among other things, with new traits for every manufacturer's ranged weapons, much of them heavily inspired in Borderlands.:steamhappy:

I've started to modify the mele ones... but I'm having problems thinking of what traits will be usefull/reasonable for each manufacturer :steamsad:

If you have any idea, share it here, I PROMISE to read it, and if the idea makes sense, to send the the script to @kit

I have an idea that might help add a level of immersion while also stomping out the issue people are having with manufacturer being determined by 1 part of the weapon.

How about that when a weapon is crafted through Weapon Assembly, it changes to "custom" ?

Are you looking for ideas for technical changes or more robust changes like Manaticon getting plazma projectiles?

I have an idea for the mod:
What if there was an in-game codex for what each of the manufacturers did, similar to the forum post but more like an advertising brochure?

Is it possible to have weapons grant status effects?
e.g: shade co. melee weapons granting a temporary stealth effect after standing still for a couple of seconds, necrolix giving lifesteal, rotik reducing cooldown of consecutive swings?

Graxus melee weapons could do next to no damage and instead mark an enemy with the 'enemy bomb' effect from sniper rifles?

Manaticon melee weapons should either give you buffs when held (like jump/speed/armor buffs, etc.), or have the old-school range-projectile slashes (I prefer this).

I feel like Graxus would make only Hammers and Axes, and that they'd be very slow with huge damage. But hey, that's just me.

I'd say teklacki weapons are good as-is, though

I love the idea of 'explosive force' even though I hate slow melee, but callox weapons already have a milder version of this.

I also feel like a merger with the weapon assembly mod could make for some very interesting custom weapons.

Pretty sure weapon assembly already works with it.

It works, but the manufacturer data is stored on a single part of the gun, so you can't mix and match attributes to create a custom weapon. Unlikely as it is, having a merger where the two mods properly mesh together would be a great opportunity to add a lot of depth.

I know you guys draw alot of inspiration from the BL series, so would there ever be a Slag type/like elemental damage type in the future? I imagine it would function similar to how it does in BL.

It would be p epic if a Slag type did exist basically. And combined with the recent BL shields mod this would pair greatly together.
